Ah that's a good one. He played the full year in the AHL but the even strength primary points/60 numbers are nearly identical

I’ll dissect this for ya
It’s basically an opinion piece which no scientific data proving the hypothesis

“One of the main reasons why cheap alcoholic drinks (may) cause a very bad hangover”
*keyword is “may”

“Therefore, it’s highly likely that cheap alcoholic drinks have higher than usual amounts of trace alcohols, which often result in an unpleasant feeling and a raging hangover when consumed. (Note: different people have different reactions to these alcohols, as in, some people tolerate cheap booze better than others.)”

“Highly likely” NOT proven fact
“often” NOT always

And it’s even noted that “some people tolerate cheap booze better than others”
So like i said, metabolism (and body chemistry)

“regardless of whether you consume an expensive alcoholic drink or a cheap one, consuming any alcoholic beverage, especially in excess, can lead to an appalling hangover. And the root cause behind that is dehydration.

*this IS scientifically PROVEN

I get what you’re saying
And what this article says sound reasonable...
But just bc it sounds good,
doesn’t make it true

A couple of friends of mine got so heated about this that they placed a $1,000 bet

And my one friend was able to site multiple (i think 4) scientific studies that said the same thing:
there’s no direct correlation to impurities in liquor and hangover effects in typical drinking
Bc for them to actually do so, you’d have to consume more liquor than the human body can handle to have enough of these impurities in your system to actually make a difference

No, i can’t site these studies
Don’t have the links for them
But I’ve seen them, and know it to be true

U can believe it or not sir, that’s up to you

How many oz are in a shot glass?

Is a Shot 1 oz or 1.5 oz?
The accepted amount of liquor served in a shot glass in the U.S. is 1.5 ounces or 44 milliliters. Even though the government has never officially set a standard measurement for a shot, the state of Utah formally defines it as 1.5 fluid ounces.

While 1.5oz is a fairly common “pour” for mixed drinks in SOME places,

the standard in Buffalo for a “shot” is to use a
1oz sized glass

They do make shot glasses up to 2oz big,
So depending on what the bar purchased,
u could get more liquor than that

It’s not the norm though,
not in Buffalo anyways

standard pour is actually 1.25 oz. in many places and any alcohol training will use 1 oz. as a standard as in 1oz. liquor = one 12 oz. beer = one 5 oz. glass of wine

dude...let it go...if you want to drink a $2.99 bottle of wine, go right ahead, but don't try and tell me it tastes anywhere near upper echelon bottles...in fact it's pure rot gut compared to them...

just because you might have an unsophisticated palate doesn't mean everyone else has one or should aspire to that

- Michael Pachla

I don't drink wine, and I said "other than the $2.99 bargain bin" which is mostly grape juice and rubbing alcohol. Taste is entirely subjective. Price and "quality" do not go hand in hand.
