Also, what year did 80,000 people die of the flu? The year with the most in the last 9 years was 17-18 with 61,000. 11-12 had 12,000. The average of the last 9 years being ~37,000. We've also had a full year of 09-10 H1N1 deaths in 5 weeks even with the lockdown. They're talking about 100,000 being a "good" number. It would likely be millions without the lockdown.

The (frank)ing covid-woke olympics needs to (frank)ing end and this country needs to get back to business. I don't give two flying (frank)s if that means NYC and LA have to stay closed for 2 weeks...maybe they can take the time to consider that the rest of the country doesn't have to revolve around those democrat poopholes.

I’d actually make more not working(with state and federal unemployment). People gotta eat. I’m saying I’m scared going into work but it is in the back of my mind that I have better odds at contracting it.

That said I’m a firm believer that if it’s my time to go, it’s my time to go. It’s not because I did or didn’t quarantine myself. Is it daily life as normal? No, but I’m not gonna wake up everyday and have it dictate my life.

I’m pretty sure working and running like I have been at work the past couple weeks that I’ve torn something in my hip other than the torn labral I’ve had for a decade.

Yes people have to eat, and you are right, gotta keep living, still go outside,, take my dog for long walks,, but there's no reason to travel right know. You are doing what you need to do, and I commend you for it

I get you’re upset your trip is cancelled but you do realize you’d be quarantined for 14 days if you flew to Florida. And yes I get it’s not until May 20th but I hope you don’t think it’ll be business as usual by then.

We aren’t looking at any type of normalcy until June 1st at the earliest.

Again I know it stinks but this isn’t an LA and NYC problem alone. It’s a global issue.

Have friends that flew into Tampa when that quarantine order was set into effect, direct Southwest from Buffalo. There was nobody there to meet them. Even the rental car company did nothing when they showed their NY State licenses. Part of it is the actual order itself on the State's website said "New York Tri-State Area", and the governor made repeated references to "New York City" when he had the press conference to enforce it.

Plus, the local news media outlets interviewed a bunch of attorneys, all of whom said enforcing that quarantine was pretty much impossible. They don't have the financial resources our the manpower to do so. The only way you would get "caught" is if you committed another crime, they could tack on the quarantine violation charge.

There have to be way more cases in jails/prisons that they're not reporting.

They reported that the majority of the cases in the outbreak in that Orchard Park nursing home were asymptomatic. Couple that with the CDC now recommending masks when going out to get food because now they believe it can be caught via breath, I am seriously of the belief that at this point pretty much every person who isn't immune to it either has it or had it already.

The antibody testing will be a fascinating study.

The taste of wine, beer, liquor is subjective and basically does not mean you can’t buy cheap sh!t at a gas station that won’t appeal to your liking. It’s a necessary evil that sometimes crap product is hyped by multi millions spent on advertising to its target market.
The best beer I’ve ever had was made in my buddies garage and he would rather not let that get out.
