If i was doing that,
I’d at least try some other options with that type package first

Who would u rather have...
Monahan or Cirelli for example?

- jdfitz77

Cirelli probably. But he needs a contract too

Yeah man.

Wing prices are starting to drop so the wing special might be going on more days for the tome being.

Also not spending 3-400 a week in bars has me with a new tv and updated home theater.

I might actually come out if this with savings in my account for the 1st time in a very long while (single dad of a 16yr old).

How you guys holding up?

I guess what I’m saying is that if we are giving up Mitts+ +,
then we should be shooting high

No way I'm picking Ekblad over anyone but Deangelo.

As you said, Cirelli also needs a new deal, which won't be cheap.

Is it also possible some are overrating the worth of Mittletstadt and Samuelsson league wide?

Definitely agree on the last sentence.

Mitts value is low. He’s at Nylander territory

Not for nothing but Mitts has done more (slightly) than Nylander ever did.

Agreed. And I think he will be better in general. But I think they are similar in terms of trade value

IF that’s true, then he just shouldn’t be traded

I’d rather keep developing him & risk a total bust,
than “sell low” if he has no value

There’s still a good chance for Mitts to become a good top6 player
He’s just gotta put in the work
Talent isn’t the issue

Sure, as long as it’s not Mitts + +
Or if we are adding to him, there’s no 1sts or other major pieces involved
Not unless we are getting one hell of a player back

Were doing, this virus has hit close to home. A good family friend was put on a ventilator a couple nights ago. From what his Wife said he's in bad shape. Feel bad but am also glad we haven't been around then for a few months. Other than that thank God for Whiskey and wead.

Why would another team trade a good player to Buffalo for a prospect who is turning into a suspect?

Calgary wouldn't want him as the core of a trade for Monahan.

They'd want an actual good NHL player, like Reinhart.

What I find interesting is holding onto a player who is talented enough but who is so immature and apparently lacking in character as to throw all that talent away. That sounds like the exact opposite of the type of player the Sabres need or should even think of counting on.
Some say that a player either has it or doesn't right away, I don't necessarily subscribe to that view either, but after 2 years they should be seeing more, alot more.

What’s to say he can’t grow up??
Lots of 21 year olds are immature
Few have his talent

If u get good trade value for him, then fine
But it makes no sense to “sell low”

One of the scenarios reportedly being considered by the NHL for the playoffs is games played at a neutral site.
"A person familiar with discussions told the AP the Buffalo Sabres' two-rink downtown practice facility, and connected to their home arena and full-service hotel, has also been mentioned among the numerous options raised."
