How delightful. Another member of the Cult 45 took the time to crawl out of Fat Donnie’s fat ass to grace us in his presence. Thank you. Now go back in the swamp.

Birdie, what's up??? Nice to see you again.

(seriously, you've been MIA, everything good?)

Nothing much. No hockey, so I just didn’t feel like coming here. Seeing how the Trump cult is creeping into this site, I made a good choice.

I have never understood the hatred for Trump. All recent presidents have done stupid things but Trump is terrifying because he’s orange? I don’t understand.

My whole fathers side of the family disowned me and literally threatened me for just asking why they hated Trump back before he was even voted in.
It’s a surreal situation for a lot of folks that are extreme left wing and that’s why I believe in the socialist/communist movement in North America that has infiltrated American schools as well as Canadian. It’s why people in cities voted for Clinton and “real” Americans in rural living voted Trump. I believe Trump stands as the symbol of capitalism and they preach in universities and colleges here in Canada that masculinity and capitalism are basically white supremacy.

Sad. Very sad that you have this much hate in your day to day life.

- optimus-reim

Don't recall many (any?) one using "orange" in these posts today.

Trump is one of the most selfish and ignorant people to sit in the high office for generations.

Trumps re-election - which hinges solely on the economy - is more important to him than the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans.

He was advocating for banning medical gear - that was already ordered by the Canadian government - from coming over the border.

He was briefed on what was going to happen to stock markets due to covid-19. His first action was to then brief his friends so they could sell off - before informing the rest of the country.

The list of his selfish actions is endless...

So > half the country are not "real americans"? Cuz we all know > 50% of the popular vote did not go to Trump.

So nothing on Trump blowing up the deficit, and your blind devotion to him as a supposed Libertarian?

I thought so.

They go around in circles... and deflect... and anything that does not support their position is "biased".

We could post links from 50 different sources tabulating Trumps falsehoods - but none of them will be factual because all of them will be biased. It's incredible.

I'm advocating that the United States (and Canada as well) address the single greatest issue facing our respective societies today: income disparity.

The top of the pyramid do not need a tax break right now. Hell, the middle of the pyramid don't either.

I'm not upper class, but I am middle-class. And right now, I'd rather have the government ask me to pay a little bit more, so that those at the bottom can get a little more assistance.

Because I know that a growing underclass is not good for society. We saw it in inner cities in the United States throughout the 1960s to 1980s. A young, restless portion of society is not good for my middle class, sitting on my ass existence.

And it's not just the lower classes that will pose these problems to our society anymore. I wonder where my kids will one day live (and I'm fully expecting them to graduate from university). And that's from a Canadian perspective - the US college tuition now is at the point where it crushes kids' financial futures.

But sadly, this is all lost on you, because you are so myopic you can't see past your bizarre misguided sense of patriotism, where any criticism of the US of A is seen as unpatriotic (unless, of course, the president is black).

You can't possibly comprehend the notion that Sweden, with a scary high tax rate, has a better standard of living and quality of life (by virtually any metric) than the United States. Because you have been brainwashed into thinking that anything Fox News labels as "socialist" is the devil's work.

'member when Obama wore a tan suit? Yeah, I know you 'member.

Agree almost entirely. U.S. doesn’t have a lot of time to seriously address these issues. Very election they get left behind we’ll see a Trumpier reaction and one of these times it won’t be some orange coloured bozo but someone with some political staying power.

Hopefully a more reasonable Bernie comes along quickly, someone with same ideas but better able to build a political coalition and pull it off. (I know AA is going to jump all over me.) I actually think that Biden could beat Trump - not certain- but could. My worry about Biden is that he’s in there, he’s nice, he’s not Trump, nothing much happens and they get Trump 2.0 in 4 years.

Also about Sweden. Max pointed out and it’s true (?) Sweden has seen significant increase in income inequality in recent years.

Many posts I am sure I addressed this issue. I am not a fan of deficits and debts. But sadly this has been going on long before this administration took office. I wish we had a balanced budget.

Wedgie I only ask you watch your words. I truly believe you would not want your children verbally Treated the way I have been by yourself and some other posters today.

The scary thing is, Bernie is the right man at the wrong time.

But FFS, when will be the right time?

He's not really advocating anything that isn't already being done in 31 other developed nations, but he's got to tone it down and go evolution over revolution.

Single-tier health care is never going to fly.

Free tuition for everyone isn't going to fly.

Joe Biden's campaign is going to be "I won't be Trump." I don't see him actually laying out his vision, because I don't think he has one. Or it's "I promise to keep the status quo, and maybe change the window dressing a little."

He's infinitely beatable, and that's what keeps me up at night.

Hold your hat when the smear campaigns start. You thought 2016 was bad...

Who was more fiscally responsible: Obama or Trump?
