No bowling, no golf, no ball hockey, ...
Only thing I have to look forward to is Mölkky in the park with my s/o but even that's not such a great time with 2 people. - TheMussel
I got 2 games into my ball hockey season and boom! Cancelled. Me and one of my buddy's would hit the indoor range by the 401 at least once a week, too. Then head to the pub after for some well deserved pints and wings.
No clue what Mölkky is, though. I assume some game that involves throwing things on grass? Anything like lawn darts or bocce ball? |

It's like Bocce meets Bowling except you throw a foot long piece of 2.5" thick hardwood round dowel. Fantastic lawn game. |

Space is at a premium in the yard we're taking over, I wonder if there's a variant that requires less sticks |

I am going to try to teach her to roll over and play dead.
The problem is she's a Labrador - very hard to train to do tricks, because if you have food as a reward, they can't focus on instructions, because they are 100% focused on the food they know you have (even if you've "hid it" in a pocket. |

I ordered a putting green off amazon a couple days before everything got shutdown last month. It was prime and was suppose to come in 2 days but that changed when the switched up their priority shipments.
It’s coming tomorrow and I didn’t think I would be this excited for it to come. |

I went down a rabbit hole and ended up looking at how to build a golden tee arcade cabinet and happened upon this tidbit of advice from an arcade gaming forum
I did do this about 5 years ago. Golden Tee is the best video game of all time imo.
Hardest part was building the cabinet out of MDF, but it came out pretty nice. Then it was just a matter of sourcing all the materials -- the guts are similar to basic PC builds which I've done many times, and then you just need the controls, video screen, etc.
Took about 8 months, but in the end it was an exercise in frustration as I blew about $1200 and never could get the ####### thing to work. One night I was drinking a lot and couldn't deal with it anymore and smashed it into a million pieces in the garage, then tried to set it on fire. That ended up being one of the final straws in my marriage, but my new wife is better so it worked out well in the end. |

My wife's favourite position is doggy-style: I sit up and beg, and she rolls over and plays dead. |

It will be interesting to see how the NHL handles the draft if the season is cancelled. Out of sheer boredom - Here is how the draft lottery would shape up if the NHL used the same rules as applied to the cancelled 2005 season.
Rules were : If a team had a first overall pick in the previous four seasons or had made the playoffs for 3 previous seasons - one ball
If a team had a playoff appearance in any of the three previous seasons - 2 balls
If a team missed the playoffs for 3 straight and no first overalls in four previous seasons - 3 balls
With these rules, here is how it would look (complicated so may be an error or two)
Three Balls: Red Wings, Panthers, Canucks, Arizona
Two Balls: Ottawa, Montreal, Chicago, Minnesota, Philly, LA, SJ, Columbus, Rangers, NYI, Edmonton, Ducks, Vegas, Flames, Jets, Tampa, Colorado, Stars, Carolina, Blues,
One Ball : NJ, Sabres, Leafs, Boston, Penguins, Capitals, Nashville

I propose teams situated northeast of Toronto get one ball, teams situated northwest of Toronto get two balls, teams situated in Toronto get three balls, and don't have to worry about any teams in the states since they'll probably cease to exist anyway |

Not gonna lie, I don't think that's a very good way to do this one. And not just because the Leafs only get 1 ball.
NJ is a garbage team and Tampa is arguably the best in the league, and Tampa ends up with more balls.
It should just be dumbed down to 1 ball per pick. Push all conditions on picks back a year and if you traded your pick outright, with no conditions on it, it's still traded. |

I agree that this seems unfair to many teams, I like the idea that a first overall pick should not be dominated by a franchise - as was the case with Edmonton and appears to be similar with New Jersey and Buffalo. It would be a shame to see NJ get their 3rd first overall pick this season after having the 1st pick in 2017 and 2019.

Why doesn’t Detroit get first pick? No lottery, just picks based on standings right now or same lottery as every year |

If there are no playoffs and no Cup champion, all teams have missed the playoff. Not reasonable to expect a draft based on standings that become meaningless.

70 games a pretty good reflection of quality of teams. I don’t think that’s meaningless. |
