You don't think it is greed and stupidity?
I thought you were a fairly smart guy, obviously not. - Reubenkincade

I am curious about some numbers.
I seen in the UK 12 000 have died from the virus ? I wonder what a normal years numbers look like ? Basically a 4 month period?
Same as I seen that 11 people died in BC since Saturday and 45 people got ill. On a normal long weekend in BC what is the usual death rate . I am not talking car accidents only or . I mean smoking ,heart attacks , car accidents, shootings ,
everything.
This is not questioning the virus , I am just wondering what normal numbers are like in those two time frames. - VANTEL
Currently in the US, more people are dying per day from C19 related illness than from Cancer or heart disease.
Now, surely that will ease and reverse as they get a handle on things, but if it came out that you could get cancer from touching a counter, that had been touched by someone with cancer a day previously, would we still be so cavalier? |

The Canucks have lost to the Ducks twice this year(only faced them twice), beatthe kings 3/3, 3-1 vs the Sharks this year. Two of those wins VS the Sharks they were without Couture(which is a huge loss to them). I think it is possible we lose to the Ducks(highly likely based off our record so far) and Sharks. I feel it is unlikely we lose to the Kings. - Retinalz
If they can’t beat those teams when it matters they don’t really deserve to be in the playoffs now do they? |

We'll see. We decided to sell the business about a month prior to the world going bat-sh*t crazy, doubt it will happen anytime soon after re-opening. It will be all about peoples comfort levels in public places and how much money they have to keep the business afloat. But we are not alone and just going day by day. The 12 yards of soil has been moved and the garden is taking shape. Three blueberry bushes to plant and then shop for some clematis to run along the fence.
Hope you & yours are doing well. My cousin retired and moved back to Terrace, bought a place backing onto the Skeena. When the dust settles we'll be up there for a visit. Mrs. Marwood and I will visit Kitimat for a beer or two. |

Why not put little cameras throughout the stadium, and people can pay online to pretend to be "in that seat" and get a view from there. Camera always follows the action. Eventually they can create a VR experience that will allow users to feel like they are at the game, from their home. Get a mix of fans in the stands, VR users, and people just watching on TV. - Retinalz
This is the stupidest idea I have ever heard.

VR is the future for a lot of things. I would wager that sports will get in on it. Imagine 1000 people paying 10-20 to watch the game from the same VR camera, giving them the same look as if they were Centre Ice at the game? People will pay $20 every now and then to feel like they are sitting in a $150+ seat. Then imagine 18,000 fans at the game, TV revenue and then an extra 50-100k per game from VR. It is inevitable, and it will make the owners even richer. |

Maybe for some, it doesn't sound appealing to me but I'm a luddite. |

Personally I don't think I'd like it because you'd miss too much of the play, you need to be able to see from a wider viewpoint to see the flow of the game. |

I mean, maybe if I could control where the camera was pointing, rather than just where the play is. No, seriously, I wouldn’t pay for that. |

Well in the States March 2020 was the first Mar. since 2002 to not have a school shooting. |

Agreed. The hockey will be dreadful. Resuming the season and/or playoffs reeks of greed. - Marwood

You do know that VR offers 360 degree viewpoint right? You can literally turn your head from side to side and watch the action. It would be no different than being at the game. The only thing that VR would need to advance in would be latency. It instantly is better than watching it on TV. |

50's and 60's are awesome, I'm in my 50's, because you're able to enjoy what you've accomplished your whole life without worrying too much about anything, you set your own schedule....it's awesome.
