I’ll bet they do this playoffs even if it means nothing to the players. It’s all about revenue...losing even more revenue next season could be catastrophic for the NHL.

If it does come back in the summer, hard to imagine they continue the regular season. I think they have a march madness style tournament to declare the Cup winner

If they can do it they will do it. Pretty much just to secure some revenue in case they run into similar problems next season. It’s not to appease the fans.
