Yeah good idea. You can drive up the old railway bed and shave off like 700m of portaging. You’ll for sure want an ultralight canoe. The fackin wolves in there are awesome. I’ve even seen bears on the lake, lol. Bring bear mace. - Tanooki
Yeah when I was there years ago I saw bear poop. That was with a party of six and bears won't engage a group that big. (frank) I lost my bear spray in a breakup lol...gonna need some gear lol |

You’ll never learn how to have a respectful conversation. That’s why all you do is argue. - Tanooki
Ok AA
On your alt because you were banned for the 7th time? You were banned for telling me to go drown myself last year. Don’t come on here and think you are the respectful one. Your track record proves you are full of poop. |

I had a bear swim across Eustache to my campsite once, I got tf outta there. I think your best bet with the mushies are just floating down either Sec or Grand in the evening, or the Barron Canyon. You for sure don’t want to swim in Traverse on mush. Legit giant musky in there, but you do see ppl swimming in it. |

Just respect the game: if you are called in to dinner or bedtime, and the other kids still want to play, leave your net.
They are responsible for putting it back on your porch. |

It is completely biased to ask a poll question on an answer in 4 months from now.
It’s ridiculous to be asking questions like that right now. But here you are.
I’ll choose to wait and ask the question when it matters. Thanks though. - Santo_44
What? It’s asking how people feel now. That’s not biased. That’s an assessment of current feelings. A poll in 4 months will give an assessment of people’s feelings then. It’s not that complicated. Would I call that poll biased because it doesn’t tell me how people felt 4 months ago?
People conduct polls in the present so they can make future plans. Sports franchises might want to know how fans might feel in the future about attending games. Since they can’t conduct an in the future poll they conduct polls now and make assumptions about how those views might change. Obviously, people will feel less stressed but 72% saying they won’t attend games is a big number.
I agree we should check again in the future but it seems foolish to ignore what 72% if the people are saying now. But carry on. |

If it does come back in the summer, hard to imagine they continue the regular season. I think they have a march madness style tournament to declare the Cup winner - PatC80
Ice is bad enough in most arena's in the Winter. Can't wait to see how bad it'd be in the dead of Summer. |

True Wodie Story
Canoeing Algonquin park on a 2 week jaunt. We picked an island to camp on thinking it’s safe. We’re on the leeward side of the island, and it is pretty windy. I see a log or something floating in the water well away from shore. I pay no attention to it. A few minutes later I notice it seemed to be getting closer - against the wind. Nah, can’t be, get busy making dinner and my buddy yells “It’s on shore!” WTF! We run down banging pots and making a ruckus. We see the tracks where it came on shore... bear...and we’re freaking. The island was full of tall pines, so we could see everywhere, but no sign of the bear. Buddy thinks we scared it off and it moved to another island. I start to carve a sword out of wood, lol. I didn’t sleep a wink. Bear swam a mile against the wind to get my KD. Very unsettling. |

Yeah, I did the “WHOA BEAR, GO AWAY BEAR!!” but he was a bear and didn’t give a shït Pooh. He then decided to take a look around my campsite that night because all the boulders were turned over the next day. If I was never a tree planter in B.C, (regularly dealing with nuisance bears) I’m sure I would’ve panicked. That’s my only hiccup with that lake, there’s a bear who’s too comfortable with humans. But that was 4 years ago, so he’s probably gone/dead.
When I snorkelled it on zoomers, it was the craziest thing I’ve maybe ever done. I was constantly checking for bears, tho. |

Crazy hahah.. where in the park was this? The whole place is just crawling with bears. Even where I am in Muskoka, there’s bears everywhere. Our property goes back 1km, mixed forest with a muskeg. I ALWAYS see bear tracks/scat. I have the game cam setup now. I’m always getting fishers/foxes/raccoons/martens.. |

We stared at the southern tip right up through and well beyond. Two weeks was way too long for me, but my buddy, who is now a CO could have lived out there. Worst thing...as we were on the last few hundred meters of our trip, we see 2 hot girls starting their trek from where we started - loaded with gear😭😭😭 |

2 weeks is a journey, man.. Those types of trips will change you. I can’t find anyone who’ll do them, but I’ve done them solo. Your buddy must’ve been cut out for it. Hahah yeah, been there with the ladies going the other way. But also had it work out in my favour, too |
