I don't think MacEwen has a higher ceiling than Jake. I think his ceiling is what Jake currently is, only more hitting and less speed. Pod is another year away and is more of a top 6 guys than a 3rd liner, Hog would be better on a line with Jake and Gaudette.

You make more sense when you emerge from your Benning hate. Not that its wrong to criticize him for his mistakes but move on like this team has and hit him on new ones.

As for trading forwards seems everyone wants defensive help. Its just really rare a team gives up a top defender for an expendable forward.

Though Ducks might move from Fowler and Manson wouldn't futures be the ask or our young forwards?

Give them a chance to play and add to the core guys. Our defence isn’t as bad as people are making it out to be, it needs some changes but they need to improve how they play defensively as a five man unit more.

I think a lot of the guys he’s brought in is just so guys can play their way out of the AHL, i like that he’s learned to not rush guys. Almost completely bungled Jake.

So if the salaries do indeed go down, what does a guy like petro cost and is there amy chance we land him? It’s really the only upgrade on Tanev out the imo, otherwise id like him to stay another 3 years or so.
