It’s honestly a serious head scratcher how you end up wanting to get rid of a 23 year old that is as productive as he is. Mind bottling, as Chaz Micheal Micheals once said
- neem55

Right....Boeser is so good, who in their right mind would trade him. He’s productive even when he wasn’t scoring goals this year, still had a great offensive year.

Because our young players jumped straight into the NHL after a year of development we don’t really have a great prospect pool now. Sure a few potential’s but every team has that.

So if the salaries do indeed go down, what does a guy like petro cost and is there amy chance we land him? It’s really the only upgrade on Tanev out the imo, otherwise id like him to stay another 3 years or so.

Are you talking Pietrangelo? If so there is no chance.

How many times did they give up 40+ shots this year? I would guess more than most other teams...that’s on coaching.

Why? I think there’s a good chance he leave st.louis. Toronto makes a ton of sense but so does going to any decently competitive team that can pay him.

That's why Tanev interest will be high and hard to keep him too.

The captain of the Blues won't leave his team unless its for insane money, which Canucks don't have, or an established contender that can afford him.

Meh, agree to disagree. St. Louis has had a lot of time to sign him, haven’t. Don’t see why he doesn’t leave. Vegas makes a lot of sense, so does anywhere willing to pay him. Colorado for example is a great fit for him, why not? I personally see Tanev as a Canuck until he retires, but Petro at 7-7.5 would be a sexy upgrade.

Colorado has a ton of cap and they need defensive help.

Sakic is no dope, i wouldnt be shocked to see Tanev or Petro go there on a reasonable contract.

Interesting fact: Bos and Van are in a very similar cap situation.

I think a few of us were surprised he didn’t pull the trigger, but how great has he looked since he was patient in trading Duchene and Barrie. You are right though, lots of people liked Roy over Sakic and I wasn’t one of them. Both trades were slam dunks, Sakic and Yzermen just like when they played are elite at their positions.

Vancouver have 3.7 in rookie bonus and 3 mil in recapture .

Boston has about 9 mil more in space than Canucks , Canucks are not in horrible shape as some believe but they will need to spend with care.

Does projected cap on capfriendly not include recapture or bonus money? Seems like they don’t make many oversights like that, but im honestly asking cause I don’t know

We are both correct . It covers recapture but doesn't include Rookie bonuses. They have more money than I had thought which will make me even more intolerable

Love this....

At the very least when brock gets hurt again next
Year for the 5 year in a row going back to college can we agree I was correct on saying to trade him at peak value? I think thats fair but fair isnt a strong point here lol

Exactly. Teams that are successful aren’t throwing darts you twat, that’s why you can point and say “that team is good at it”. I didn’t say anything about Benning being the first, cool story though.

The one on the left looks like Trumper and the other looks like a douche, how about we trade both of them for a first and second round pick this year.
