I don't believe everything any one news outlet puts out there, even the ones I tend to follow... and yes, I do read the NYT, and others that don't have an editorial bias in the direction of my beliefs.

Great... maybe assume other people are capable of critical thinking as well.

But are you certain?

Have you seen it in the CBA written? I think you are correct though.

Not sure this helps answer the question directly, but it does give some information on the situation.

Sure. That's fair. Accepting something as true, however, only if a specific set of outlets validates some information doesn't really seem open minded, imo. I use to read the NYT and WAPO quite a bit. It was a slow progression to start reading other sources like the ones I read now. One that occurred over a significant period of time...

NP. I think basically it all ends up being proportional, the salary cap after escrow is reduced the same % as any given player salary so its a wash in the end.

Also, I'm out until later. Don't want anyone to say I'm just dropping bombs and disappearing.

I said they seem to be doing fine. Which they, the Swedes, themselves say that they are... They aren't doing as well as the immediate neighbourhood, but better than many other parts of Europe... Where's Canada compared to Sweden's neighbors?

Worse or better off? We're in a major lockdown essentially.

I’m in Home Depot right now. There’s a bit of a line to cash out because we have to maintain 6’ separation. About four people in front of me.

You call that a major lockdown. I call it a mild inconvenience.

I wish somebody would explain it to some of the dipshit Albertans who have shown up in our small town.

I'm in Sooke. Had a pair pull up to the end of my driveway asking for directions, followed another set of red plates after doing firewood out by Jordan River. Neither area could handle an outbreak.

Nobody thinks they’re carriers, until they are. Then they feel bad they spread it. Well guess what, that’s why you were asked to stay home dumbass!

I think two rules need only apply: given what we know, use common sense and don’t be a dick.

Yup. Escrow is sort of like an insurance policy, in case the revenues drop, which I am sure that will happen.

I think those 2 rules could probably apply to most of life.

Easier said than done tho.

Hey all,

Hope you're hanging in there OK. I'm actually in a pretty optimistic frame of mind — hope that doesn't turn out to be misguided.

One good thing I know for sure: there is a ton of good new Canucks content that has come out over the past few days. The rundown, and some thoughts on just how much the Canucks' roster has improved over the last year-and-a-bit, in the new blog...

So, approach them cautiously while armed with a crossbow, greeting them in both official languages?
