It's insane, it really is. People are wearing gloves... still touching their faces and bodies, etc. All the plastic they put over the credit card readers. What does that do? The same plastic that everyone else is touching. Some card readers require you to use the stylus pen now. Why? So everyone is touching that instead of the screen. It's comical. - TheMessiah94
Yup, but they're safe because they are wearing gloves.
The other day I asked a cashier if the pen was sanitized and I got a blank stare. I actually have seen sanitized pens, albeit at a hospital, but they aren't taking too many chances. |

It is, and it's really unfortunate. These "measures" in place are likely(definitely) not really working because of the individuals who fail to realize that every time you touch a potentially contaminated surface you can't touch anything else until your glove is thrown away or your hands are washed/sanitized. Communal areas/items (credit card readers, door handles etc) like you mentioned are not being cleaned consistently. The only place I observed where they were cleaning them after each customer was home depot.
Stop and Shop and other super markets are supposed to have wipes to sanitize your cart handles but I have seen them remain empty. Self checkout scanners are not being cleaned. The list goes on and on. We are doing this in between thing that aside from the stay at home orders are not being effective. Not to mention all of the gloves and masks flying around the ground from scumbags who don't thrown them away. I'm even finding them in my yard. - JRR1285
A Shoprite employee was wiping down everything in the self-checkout after the previous person checked out last time I was there. |

Gloves and masks are used to protect other people from you, not vice versa.
That said, I'm heading out to every Medford-area supermarket tonight to cough on everything. |

Yea I thought when he hurt it, he was close to the 4-6 week timeline. And that was back at the end of February. The fact that 10 days later he was out skating on it I had high hopes it wouldn't be long term. But that is good to hear |

I understand that. Though the gloves can help you out if you use them sensibly and not like they're some kind of magic condom that somehow self sanitizes. |

I saw a guy at the supermarket bite the glove off, when his cell phone rang. Hysterical. |

I saw a guy over the weekend, in a supermarket with a sign that said you had to have masks on to be allowed in (and had a security guard) walking around with no mask but the corner of the hood on his sweatshirt held against his face |

I saw a picture this morning of some of the people protesting, and this dumb ass gubernatorial candidate or something had his glove hand covering his mouth like a mask |
