At the end of the day, we have a kid here who could possibly turn back into the player who was one of our best forwards in training camp last year. Is that a prospect you turn your back on because he needs to grow up? IDK, maybe. But, I bet you there are two teams out there kicking themselves that they didn't try harder to work with DeAngelo.

Ho-Sang for Lias? He’ll be Oriental Mario for us

Yeah I'd be all for that. Pretty sure I've half-seriously suggested it in the past. Those two players probably fit better in the opposite team's systems anyway

If he comes back and plays hockey well, there will be zero issues with him in the locker room. I didn't see much from him as a hockey player, but mb he puts it all together. There is absolutely no reason to cut bait with him yet, that would be totally premature.

All of you seem to be glossing over the fact that he left the country before Christmas and then DEMANDED A TRADE. He has not rescinded that demand yet. Why would you guys think he would be welcomed into any locker room in Hartford or NY?

Even in the Swedish article--- he doesn't rescind the trade demand! That makes him an unwelcome distraction. I am not suggesting the Rangers move him for a bag of pucks or just give him away, but I would trade him for a low draft pick just to get him out of here.

A young team that the Rangers are trying to build do not need this type of distraction. And lets face it --- he wasn't that good either. We can find many other players less needy and distracting for our 4th line!

Very well said.
At this point I’d rather hear about the guys who want to be here. F Lias.
