Edmonton one of the four neutral sites for NHL ?
Doesn't sound to neutral to me unless it is not for the pacific division. |

I dont know why they would pick Edmonton over Vancouver. BC is doing better with Covid, it has two barns that can be used to play NHL hockey in, and its not The Anus of Alberta.
They are not considering neutral site games. Just current NHL locations to play all games for that division. |

The new facility has the hotel across the street , practice rinks , and also the old barn that they use to play at. It is a world class facility.

I agree both of those Dmen I have watched a lot here and the bloom is off the rose for both Hamonic is a less effective Tanev and Brody although a good skater makes awful decisions in his own end.
Both are a hard pass for me. |

To be clear I wasn't saying we should go after them I was suggesting there will be a list of replacements that could fill in for half the cost.
Despite what anyone else thinks my choice this year would be Ristolainen Dillon and Tryamkin. |

True with the world class facility, it is nice. but it is still only 1 NHL rink. Northlands has been shuttered for years and they are demolishing it. Vancouver has the hotels just as Edmonton does (actually way more) and the have the Pacific Coliseum which still is in use I believe? They want to play 3 games a day. That would be easier with 2 barns. |

It also doesn't make sense when I see one division per city. All of our games are not against only the Pacific |

I would go Risto in a heartbeat. He is a good O-type dman that might just need to wash Buffalo off of his hands to reach the next level. But Covid, in my opinion, is going to kill a lot of deals for the foreseeable future. No owner will commit to anything but cost reduction with the current business climate. I think there will be a hammer dropping on the entire structure due to force majeure. |

True, but the majority of games at the end of the season are usually against division rivals. There could be a mini schedule made up of just those teams and cancel the original remaining games. Who knows? |

How will they do inter division then? Will teams still travel to the building that the "Home" teams division is playing at? |

They have several different themed room's. Mellow massage to Caligula and leather masks. It really depends on what kind of day you've had. |

Another name that might be on the Canucks charts is Barrie. They have eyed him for years and he will be cheap and available. This probably made a few here throw up in their mouths
My main concern for new contracts is Toffoli . After that things will fall in place. |

I don't know. My guess is they say, "We cant make this perfect, however here is a new mini schedule" Regardless of which teams you played and had to still play, here is a new division round robin. Whatever number of games they make it to be "fair" sand who qualifies will have to be worked out. |

I have always been a creature of habit. I find something I like I stick with it for years.I think I have cheated on Kraft Peanut Butter three times in my life. Twice with Jif and once with Skippy. - VANTEL
That isn’t peanut butter man, that’s peanut flavored spread. And I’m being liberal saying it has any actual peanut flavor. |

I seen a comment from an unreliable source that said they will start up in July. If they are going to do it that makes the most sense.

Imagine 7 NHL teams and staff all “isolating” in one city where restaurants and hotels will be operating at minimum capacity. Does each team take over an entire hotel? |

TT for sure. Benning will certainly be sniffing around Barrie, heard he wants 8M, we couldn't do that as it stands. |

Toffoli and Markstrom are the priorities for sure.
But I envision financial ruin coming for some teams, not to mention a lot of fans, so how do you begin to roll back salaries and costs? How can they commit to any large contracts, if for poop and giggles, 6 teams financially crater and the cap drops 10-20 mil? Like I said earlier, a reopening of the agreement between owners and players will have to happen. Amnesty for contracts? Buyouts? Cap reductions? Teams folding or moving?
Who knows? |
