Was Y2K a boon for all things bigfoot? You know, people flocking to the woods and what not. - RickJames77
It was such a bummer when I got old enough to understand that due to what we know from zoology and genetics, there is no way that a population of very large mammals could be living in the pacific northwest undetected. I wanted to believe.
Manbearpig is real though, he's a demon so those rules don't apply.

However there us still a chance that bigfoot are actually foot soldiers for the alien greys or reptilians, and they only teleport down and back up, or are interdimensional.

So this is more of a True Wedgie confession:
I've always loved "cryptozoology." As a kid, I read anything I could on Bigfoot, Yeti, the Ogopogo, etc.
So at the time that I realized it was all laughable crap, I probably started liking it more.
So in the mid-90s, back when the interdweebs were still new, I used to be a semi-regular on an internet Bigfoot message board. And this board had all the of the "heavy hitters" of the North American cryptozoology community - the guys who you would regularly see on all the Inside Edition interviews whenever someone would bring forward new Bigfoot footage. Grover Krantz was one such regular.
But some lunatic (even by Bigfoot standards) started trolling - he was a huge proponent of the Bigfoot as alien or Bigfoot as from another dimension camp.
It eventually completely blew the message board apart, but oh what fun we had while it lasted.
And one other little tidbit: at the same time, I was a regular on the world's first hockey trade rumour site: The Rumour Mill. Some guy at Queen's University at set it up. If any of you were on it, you'll remember the faux wood paneling as the background.

Wedge, are the Leafs still charging you guys for next year? - RickJames77
I haven't checked my email today, but as of a month ago, they allowed us to defer first payment to the 2nd week of May (it was originally supposed to be 2nd week of April).
And last week I finally got around to cleaning up my personal email address - I unsubscribed from the Bruins Cybear Club spam email distribution list, that I signed up for in 2000. So you'll have to let me know if they put any Leafs tickets on sale for cheap.

We received the same offer. I just kept the same pay schedule because they went from 10 installments of 10% to 9 at 11.25%, which isn't really a deferment when you consider your paying the same sum by the same date either way you slice it
They're doing a Zoom Happy Hour with Cam Neely tomorrow and some other Bruins legends, which should be pretty cool.
As for tickets, just let me know if you plan on coming. I usually have a Leafs game open and would just transfer you the tickets at cost.

In other sporting news:
Looks like baseball may be drastically shrinking it's minor league system.
This doesn't come as a huge surprise, and I can't say I'm particularly upset by it. At the lowest levels, these guys are making so little they risk malnutrition. No, I'm not kidding.
I'll provide the link to Field of Schemes, the site author is far more entertaining than the actual news stories he references:

I appreciate the offer.
But in light of what Georgia is doing, I don't think the border will be open for a long, long, long time.

Kaberle may be looking for a sperm donor...
...he doesn't shoot. - Atomic Wedgie
I know you're not allowed to criticize a trade if you win the cup, but after years of trying to acquire him, he just didn't deliver what we expected. Our powerplay was so damn bad. I've been rewatching their '11 SC run (airs every night on NESN) and I just can't believe they kept doing the same thing over and over. That team won a 7 game series against Montreal without scoring one powerplay goal.
