I’ve been listening with great interest to you and AA discuss wilderness trips. I am curious to know if snakes are an issue in Ontario.
Bears, wolves and coyotes I can deal with. But snakes scare the bejeezus out of me. - shack67
Aside from the Missisauga Ratler, all the snakes in Canada are pussies...even the ratler is a bit of a puss. Put a string of rope around your tent and they'll (frank) off. |

False. Liquor stores are required to keep the sheeple in a perpetual stupor so that they don't get woke and realize that Covid is a hoax and the government is using it as a ploy to destroy the economy, take away our freedom, and turn us into subjugated automatons that unknowingly support the democrat-led elite to bring on the age of socialist fascism
There's plenty of youtube videos about it, look it up (scientific american is biased) - TheMussel
I don’t drink so I hold my sheeple meetings here. (The black face sheep is inside.)

Only one species of venomous snake in Ontario - and it is relatively rare. Massassauga rattle snake is poisonous, but a coward among rattlers and not deadly poisonous. |

I think you've confused the Massasauga Rattlesnake with John Tavares |

Not really. Massasauga rattlesnakes in the Parry Sound area are the only ones I've ever wondered about in my years of canoe tripping and hiking. |

Generally snakes in ontario are harmless.
But Northern water snakes are known to be aggressive. So if you’re swimming in waters with lots of vegetation, keep an eye out for those. There are rattle snakes in certain areas along Georgian bay, and into Muskoka, but I’ve only seen one, so they’re uncommon. There’s also prairie rattle snakes in AB and SK.
I don’t like snakes either, they creep me out. This one is a hog-nosed snake, the biggest snakes in Canada. (He was waiting for Reeses, so I scared him away) I’ve seen these guys get massive. Like, 6ft long..

on the list of business having a strong argument to be one of the earliest ones to re-open, tattoo places should be around place #123561.
several EU countries are (discussing) 'semi-reopening' now but that will simply mean that in 4-6 weeks from now, they'll all be back to where they were 4-6 weeks ago (limiting IC-capacity). - MaximusAurelius
They aren’t going to start opening poop to make people happy.
It’s to find businesses that can operate with minimal contact to keep the economy going.
It won’t go completely by level of
Importance. I sense there will be a lot of butt
hurtness in this thread when it does happen. |

Scientific American wrote an article on what may be the most self evident thing about covid. Liquor stores are essential businesses because the pandemic does not need thousands of alcoholics running into emergency wards with DTs or having just gotten into the car coolant of the Subaru.

Just thinking about swimming with a snake makes me shiver. Why are those water snakes aggressive? Are they territorial? |

Ask anyone if they would trade 'x' to for a solid chance to win the championship.
If the answer is yes, it's not a good punishment. A 2nd round pick to win the cup? Sign me up for the rest of time. |
