Never understood why people listen to him.....about anything. Good work America. - bhawks2241
Exactly my point.
While I may not like or have voted for him, nevertheless he is our President.
I disagree vehemently with the "late night show" nature of the briefings, so much so that I do not watch any more.
I want and expect the leader of our country to actually lead.
Not with hunches and guesses and feelings about something that should be based in science and medicine, about which he knows nothing.
Provide leadership. Facts. Let the experts speak. Make decisions based on the best available facts and keep the rest to yourself.
If I wanted to see reruns of The Apprentice, I'd find them on You Tube. |

We are locking down the nation based on hypothetical modeling that projected a high number of deaths. That modeling was wrong.
So when do we return to normal? It will undoubtedly be based on modeling. What is an acceptable death projection?
That is where we are at right now. It isn't about immediate gratification. It is ok if X number of people die from one cause but X amount of people can't die from COVID-19? - bhawks2241
Grit posted another link that contained this article, I found it informative and highly suggest reading it. Made me totally against this total lockdown now. https://thehill.com/opini...d-end-the-total-isolation |

I am talking about drafting them only. Kravchuk is the only one they drafted that was worth a damn. Then they blew it by trading him for Joe (frank)ing Murphy. - Elbows15
Noted. Just you wait until Shalunov gets here!
In all seriousness, I'm glad to hear your kid is doing better. |

We agree a lot, duff. We just feel differently about drafting goalies early in the 1st RD.
And Russians. I have nothing against players from Russia. It is just that the Hawks have shown no ability to draft any worth a damn. - Elbows15
Fingers crossed for Altybarmakan. |

Has there been any additional information on that? There was that rumor a few weeks ago but nothing sense that I have seen.
Not that Shalunov will likely amount to much. |

I let my Athletic subscription lapse and didn't renew, so I never got the full story from Powers. |

What changes might be forthcoming if a lawsuit successfully challenges the striping of out civil rights? Cannot 5u5m away people based.upon the construed opinion of the seriousness of symptoms? A new standard would have to be established for the admitance of people whom complain about corona symptoms? - jhawk59
In 2009 they took two US auto companies away from the bond holders and gave them to the hourly employees. Novel bankruptcy law for sure. The following lawsuits were fruitless. Good luck suing when the government is making the rules. |

Trying to get back to hockey...
Considering they played together in CHI for most of Daze's career, who would you rather have at their absolute best, Daze or Amonte? - Chunk
Bob Probert.
But seriously, for me its hard to decide because who knows what Daze's potential could have been? Who knows how long he had the back problem, and I'm not talking about surgery, but even before. He had the size and skill, from what I remember, to be something 'special'.
Numbers wise, though, yes, Amonte had better and he gets my respect for being able to put up really good numbers on really putrid teams during the 'clutch and clobber' age of the NHL, but.... I'd still take Probert over both of them at his best. |

On the other hand, I think we should all be following Mr. Trump's 'instincts' on the malaria drug/Z-pack combo, could be a real game changer. Of course, you don't have to take my word for it unless you want to call NPR fake news. Or the FDA.

By the way Mo, hope you are staying safe/well and getting plenty of sleep and exercise (not necessarily in that order!). - savvyone-1
Doing well, Savvy. I think I developed the covid 15. Pounds that is. Been remodeling a bathroom and this morning the garbage disposal took a dump. Small issues compared to others. Anything to distract me from the bathroom work - even blabbing about covid-19!
On the malaria drug thing....I think doctors should decide whether and when to use them, or any other treatment. |

Who are we taking with these 2 2nd round picks? OL and WR? |

That is good Mo.
Even tho I don't always see eye-to-eye w/Elbows, I am sorry to hear about his daughter having the virus but very happy to hear she has recovered.
Yes, anything to distract -- especially from having to sit home. The damn virus has caused our men's Spring/Summer hockey to be postponed with no date for return (no surprise there). Told one of my teammates that we'd be lucky to be back on the ice in September. It really sucks, that is for sure.
Good luck on the remodel work. I've been trying (when weather allows) to do as much outside on the weekends as possible. At least I am getting some small amount of work accomplished. I am expecting, if things don't relent in by the end of May, for repercussions work-wise. I've been lucky thus far but cannot expect it continue under these circumstances much longer.
Let's all hope for the best. I just saw some relatively good news in that IL was able to conduct about 16,000 tests in a day. JB has been saying he'd like to do at least 10,000 a day. If they can keep that up and ramp it up, I am hopeful we finally see things back to a new "normal." |

Right .And drafting a Goalie early, or a Russian at anytime is not my usual MO . Just were we sit at 9th Askarov is or maybe the BPA . If we jumped up to the top 3 it would be no question . And if a couple players do drop ,again my mind could be changed .Lafreniere Byfield Holtz Stutzle Rossi Drysdale all players I would take before Aslarov .I also would not mind them taking a shot at Quinn over Askarov . Sanderson and Lundell and most of the rest in the top twenty not so much . |

Nope. Still beating topics to death. Just a different topic, but still very high level discourse.

Well, people are wearing masks because a lot of people are just unclean, and you can't find toilet paper anywhere. |
