Well said, Savvy. Despite his lack of hockey knowledge, Elbows is a good man. - mohel

Thinking about becoming a Bears fan.
Who are we taking with these 2 2nd round picks? OL and WR? - SimpleJack
Safety or corner for one of them.

Has there been any additional information on that? There was that rumor a few weeks ago but nothing sense that I have seen.
Not that Shalunov will likely amount to much. - bhawks2241
Read something last week that his mention of coming over was just leverage in getting himself a better KHL contract. |

An OL would be nice. Should still be a couple of starter types still on the board. |

A lot of 1st round or borderline 1st round talent on the board for both 2nd round picks.
Pace better not frank this up. |

Heard one of the analysts say there is still a lot of 1st round talent available in the 2nd round.
For those who haven't back read we're talking NFL draft.

I have seen some mocks where the Bears take Jalen Hurt with the 50th pick. Not sure how I feel about that one.
I think he is going to go safety at 43. There projects to be 2-3 good ones left. Bears also need a strong safety to let EJ get back to doing what he does best. |

He needs to shut the (frank) up and let the scientists and doctors speak.
Uttering pure bullpoop and speculation is not helping anyone.
"Floating" the ideas that UV light and disinfectant "might" work is the sort of stuff spouted by this president that has no business being said in a briefing that is supposedly intended to provide accurate, up-to-date information on the status of the pandemic and what is actually being done to mitigate its effects and get people back to work.
And yes, I have watched and listened to the clips. You can watch them anywhere and the news reports HAVE accurately reported what was said.
It is a national disgrace. - savvyone-1
The media is the national disgrace. How many times do they have to get caught intentionally lying to push fake news before consumers of the fake news catch on that the national media can not be trusted. Period. Everything they report is filtered through their narrative. Wake up.

I probably read as much from ALL different sources as anyone here. I make up my own mind. It is beyond difficult to listen to Trump any more -- and have chosen not to. If the briefings were Fauci and Birx, that would be fine. Anything more than that during this time is exceptionally harmful.

Sorry, the guy is a buffoon. You want to watch The Apprentice, go right ahead.
I would rather have someone, when they don't have a clue what they are spouting, simply shut up and have the people that do have the experience and training make the statements.

His recent example with Georgia is a case in point. It's great they are open, then the next day, slams their governor for doing so. How is that helpful? |

Yeah. Football is a bit different in the sense that player for player trades are very rare. So they draft more for need than hockey GMs do. |

Just catching up here Savvy. Agree with you in that Trump's a buffoon. Agree with Raptor in that the media is a disgrace pandering to the fanbase on either side.
Agree with Ogi that Elbows is ok and Agree with Elbows agreeing with Ogi "at best".
Also not to be a pig but while Crawford has never been elite , saw a pic of Mrs. Crow and she sure is...just saying. That's kind of hockey....ish.
Edit - Also glad Bows' daughter is better. |

This you are reading is hockey content
I wonder how many people are with me as far as cancelling the rest of the suspended hockey season.
I ha e two reasons for my preference. Both reasons I have no idea what the board feels, 50% or more agree?
From a sort of selfish point - of - view, I want to see the lottery and entry draft occur at the time of year which it always has. I want a summer break from games and I want free sgency to begin July 1
Furthermore o want to see what moved Bowman makes and probably some transactions are sooner rather than later..
I do not expect Lehner to return; however, I am curious to see where he eventually lands. And I am.wondering if Bowman re-signs Crawford and uses Laakinen - Delia rotation as back ups..Most of all though I want to see how round one of the Entry Draft unfolds
The second reason for cancelling the season, is poor I e and athletes not in proper shape.or honestly they are not happy playing hockey at a time when normally they are on summer vacation
To be sure I would rather no gathering of people at sports events or in training camps - and playoffs - until this Corona pandemic is at least at a minimum under control. Lives and and equal balanced playing field with no one out due to Corona ,,- please
I do not believe it is under control until majority of people are tested and an innoculation or other shots pills whatever is working and a great majority abide in safe living measures
This I do not expect to happen soon. Everywhere I turn there remains too many people unsafe. It takes a big scare to convince the part of society that is not being as careful and safe as they should
