That's 54 40. Really cool band. Saw them in College and the lead singer jumped on me in the pit.

I Mother Earth was more heavy funk. Used to be Alright is one of my faves by them. Actually most of Scenery and Fish is a good listen.

Doesn’t surprise me. Sandhill owned by Peller - big company, now with some premium brands where Sandhill used to be their premium. Not a fan. Tinhorn Creek and Black Hills are their flagship brands now, Grey Monk, Sandhill, Wayne Gretzky Estate next,

Good to know. Yeah I haven't been a fan of Grey Monk for years and the WG Estates is borderline Apothic lol. The Tinhorn Creek Merlot 2016 was actually not too bad had it with cheap BBQ burgers and it wasn't a horrible pairing. The Sandhill 2016 Merlot was also not stellar but no shock now that you've told me the story. Haven't tried Black Hill I think...

But tonight should be the Chateau I have been saving $40 it's one I know well and hasn't let me down yet.

To me, it's like how blues planted the seed for rock. There's no definitive answer to the first rock song, but there are ground breaking artists that steered the music toward the genre. Sabbath and Queen are such artists.

It's crazy the influences musicians and artists have there is always in most cases 'something that came before'. I recently watched a documentary called "Rumble-Indians who Rocked the World" and it is very well done. Especially the storylines on Link Wray and Jesse Ed Davis. They even go into the stuff that 'influenced' Robert Johnson one the THE great blues guys that most think started it all. Check it out if you haven't already I won't spoil anything it's extremely well done.

Realy liked I Mother Earth. 54 40 Had some decent stuff too. Saw alot of those mid-level CDN Bands at College Shows when they started touring. Econoline Crush, Headstones, Our Lady Peace, Some great stuff from those years.

Checked out the trailer quickly. Looks really good. I'll check it out when I have some time for sure.

Lots of really good shows to be seen during that era. Sounds like we were seeking higher education around the same time. Saw the Headstones and OLP at the same bar on different nights for a 5 buck cover. You didn't want to get too close to Hugh Dillon while he was on stage. The guy had a black belt in spitting.
