If they finish the season, you could do a crunch schedule. teams have between 10-14 games left? make it all back to back and after 4 games they get 2 days off with family. Something like 4 games in 5 days(insane i know), then 2 days off. season over in 3 weeks. Playoffs start a week later.

I honestly think that is the top issue with players. I have been married 23 years and it would drive me insane to be away from my wife for more than two weeks

I think they will figure something out but it has to keep in mind health and personal sacrifice.

I think they should do their training camps in their own cities, that makes the most sense. If you want to try and squeeze in the remainder of the games in only a few locations you could bring teams to centralized spots for a week/10 days to get it done.

Agreed, 2-3 week in their home city, then go to the sites for games.

Another big blog has just dropped.

I'm pretty excited about my interview with Willie Mitchell, who's keeping very busy these days as acting operations manager of the resort and marina in Tofino that he co-owns with Dan Hamhuis and another partner.

I'm also excited that the Canucks have signed Nils Hoglander to his entry-level contract.

That and more...

They are used to being away for more than 2 weeks, but a month is a fair bit. Getting 2 days at home after 5 days being away is manageable. In all honesty if they cant handle that, who fvcking cares. One parent in a house routinely goes days/weeks without seeing their kids or SO in order to afford to make ends meet. My option has them play a lot of hockey in short periods, but also gives them time with family. Hopefully in the future the NHL learns from this and spreads games out better. Some teams have played 4 more games than others by the time the season was put on hold. If it was spread out better, it would be easier to figure out how to move forward.

Marner >>>>>>>>>> Nylander

But the same is also probably true on the return if you trade him as well.

Every prospect I’ve spoke to this year said Nils Höglander was on another level at this years #Canucks prospects camp. He’s ahead of all of them, I wouldn’t be shocked if he makes the Canucks out of camp.
It just depends on how Travis Green feels about him.

Don't know if I am there yet but close.

We could sure use more ELC’s cap wise. I constantly muck around with Capfriendly Armchair GM to find a fit & retool the cap.

Try it & publish a roster. Include what you like I.E. trades CBO etc. I’ll look for it. I’ll publish my own soon as well.

Sounds good. I’ll add they only finish divisional games to the point it’s an even amount of games in total say 76ish.
