So disappointed they're not a band anymore. I like all of Jack White's side projects, and his solo stuff is alright... but man, their first four albums are killlller

lol they did I believe. Metallica was pissed too
- LordHumungous

Yep I remember watching the Grammy's that year, 1990. Metallica was up for the first Grammy award for metal album of the year, And Justice for All. I lived by that album as an 16-17 year old. Then some Aqua Lung Band wins...? Never watched that poop again.

We did a poll in here once and had to list our ultimate/all time 5 piece band and Jack was one of my guitarists. The guy is a genius on the six-string. His use of effect pedals are unparalleled.

First Prairie thunderstorm of the year just beginning to hit. As much as I hate this place, the thunderstorms a cool when they hit. I have a deal with my wife from Day 1 of when we moved here. If I see tornado, we get in the truck and head back West as fast as we can. Come on tornado!

Hey, you're just ahead of the curve. Vancouver Parks Board is opening up Fraserview and McCleery courses and VanDusen Botanical Garden on May 1st (next week).

If that goes well expect the remaining parks (including golf courses) will follow mid May.

I have a proposal on a new activity, The Debators (CBC radio) style battle of the bands. I’ll choose two artists, they could be the same genre or different, same era or different etc and two of you will battle it out as to why your band is the greatest and the other sucks goat balls.

I would post the two bands in the morning, we would take volunteers and you would have time to do your research. Then on the new blog, in your second post (the first one thanking Carol obviously) you will make your case, using facts, alternate facts, stories, humor etc. your opponent will then make their case in which time you will have an opportunity to craft your rebuttal. Each team gets one rebuttal. Then we the plebes get to vote on the winner.

I know every time we start talking I learn something new.

Give some thumbs up if you would participate. It won’t be much fun if it’s the same two people all the time, or if half of you don’t give two poops about it.

Listening to Dr. Henry today I think it will be a slow process, but glad to see things opening back up. I know Butchart Gardens in Victoria plan to open back up May 1st, and have heard several golf courses are doing similar.

Our son is at his grandparents place in Russia. He left just before poop hit the fan and we felt it was safer for him to stay there than risking the travel home. We’re not about to bring him home for a few weeks of school.

So for example if I think Cream sucks goat balls, which I do, I can actually say it without getting attacked by the whackjobs on this thread that actually listen to their crap? More of a one on one debate?

lol

The Clapton Unplugged I just re-discovered when I was making some changes to my stereo room setup. The mastering and recording quality for CD are top shelf...as is the performance.

Now that you mention Cream I have Disraeli Gears on heavyweight vinyl going to toss it on right now thx man.
