Saw them a number of times.

- Marwood

Me too. Last time I saw them their Bassist Norwood came up to me after the show at the bar and thanked me for having such a blast in the mosh pit. He also let me and my Wife (then Girlfriend) backstage and we smoked a couple of fattys with him and the little lead singer. Shot the sh1t with him for almost an hour. One of the nicest guys. Gave me the setlist too.

You will be happy to know he passed that talent on to many other Canucks even to this day.

OK most of the stuff I listen to through headphones while Drumming behind my kit. Right now I'm on a John Stanier kick. I've loved his Drumming for years. It's fun.
My Drumming today included:

Battles - Gloss Drop
Helmet - Aftertaste
Elastica
A Perfect Circle - Thirteenth Step
MCR - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge

Later...on my way to and from work this week in my truck on a thumb drive:

Outkast - Aquemini
Fishbone - Give a Monkey a Brain and He'll Swear He's the Center of the Universe
Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Nas - Illmatic
Tesla - Psychotic Supper
Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze

- Load Management

Another Great List!
Pulls out the old Psychotic Supper.
Tesla is a band that is known by most, if anybody, as "That band that did Signs...Right?" While there is some great songs on the Five Man Acoustical Jam album, that cover song from the Five Man Electrical Band was the blessing and the curse for them. You might here "Love Song" once in a pink moon, but this band is so much more. I still listen to them lots. When people say Tesla to them it's a car, to me a brilliant mind in Nicola, and a great straight forward rock and roll band that pays homage to him.

I've been listening to a bit of John Prine of late.
Lead to the Allman Brothers, which is never a bad move.
Which somehow lead to Cat Stevens. Forgot about that guy.

Recently stumbled upon this guy Benjamin Tod which has been on repeat quite a bit.
Discovered a band called the Menzingers which is fun.
Recently saw Weyes Blood and enjoyed their album Titanic Rising.

I also recommend the Idles.

So for example if I think Cream sucks goat balls, which I do, I can actually say it without getting attacked by the whackjobs on this thread that actually listen to their crap? More of a one on one debate?

- Load Management

lol. You lie. No way you can be a drummer and not appreciate Ginger Baker for what he did for rock percussion.

And nobody attacked you for your musical taste. Just friendly debates about quality of talent. Nothing personal.

lol

The Clapton Unplugged I just re-discovered when I was making some changes to my stereo room setup. The mastering and recording quality for CD are top shelf...as is the performance.

Now that you mention Cream I have Disraeli Gears on heavyweight vinyl going to toss it on right now thx man.

Speaking of top shelf. Great choice and in vinyl too. Crazy.

We did a poll in here once and had to list our ultimate/all time 5 piece band and Jack was one of my guitarists. The guy is a genius on the six-string. His use of effect pedals are unparalleled.

Great list some great memories for me there.

Big fan of most of the Perfect Circle stuff and speaking of Maynard what were your thoughts on the new Tool album? It's growing on me...

The World Slavery tour for Maiden was my first big Arena rock show. Twisted Sister opened was sitting 8th row centre floor and was blown away. Maiden was peaking then and it really was larger than life event.

Love Tesla one of the great forgotten bands of that time. Mechanical Resonance and Great Radio Controvery are two of the best albums from that time. So much great work on them and they never get mentioned with the big boys. Shame as they produced some stellar music. Saw Tesla open for Def Leppard (twice) and they blew Def Lep off the stage both times. Def Lep was VERY disappointing live as they just can't reproduce all their over-production live I thought. Was expecting much more.

Bought floor seats to Queens of the Stone age years ago and my only memory of that was standing by the wal and throwing up during the show. I was so sick with something I just couldn't enjoy it.

Funny you mention My Chemical Romance? I have those CD's somewhere at home forgot about them will have to check them back out...

Just read the Monday ESPN update from Kaplan/Wysh.

My favorite part was that Daily doesn’t believe a single, or multiple positive tests would change anything, but they don’t actually have a plan on how they would deal with that.

I think they would need to test everyone coming to the rink each day (and be able to get results right away).

Just started watching Mindhunters on Netflix last night. If you like the True Crime genre it’s pretty good. I’m only 3 episodes in but it’s worth a watch.

Last night I went to Safeway and at the corner of the street there are two benches . It had 6 guys sitting on them talking to each other 8 inches apart drinking beer . There were 4 other people standing around in the group.

I think people are letting their guards down.

I asked John Tavares about this, and he confirmed that's come up in the Return to Play Committee discussions... some players concerned about being gone from their families too long while living in a centralized site bubble

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know I have mentioned this a few times. These guys are human beings first , pro athletes second.

The players are smart and the NHL is stupid. Just plan for a safe start to next season.

Trailer Quarantine Day# 7 Movie# 17 Master and Commander The Far Side of the World

One of my favorite movies of all time. Excellent acting, great story, and as true to life as a 18th century Royal Navy movie can be. It shows the day to day ship life, Boy sailors (as there was in real life), and non stop rum that helped Britannia rule the waves. Also, one of those rare movies where they didn't ram a love story into it so it would sell. It really is a hidden gem that was overshadowed by the IMO, terrible, but more commercial Pirates of the Caribbean franchise that came out at the same time.

A Movie Quote: Do you not know that in the Service … one must always choose the lesser of two weevils?

That's asking a whole lot of the players and their families. Already tough enough throughout the year, but to go 3+ months during these difficult times is a bit absurd.
