Easy fix - full face plastic shields and N95 masks under that. Individual water bottles managed by someone in a hazmat suit. It would certainly speed up game play as the after the whistle shenanigans would basically disappear. - 1970vintage
Big fan of most of the Perfect Circle stuff and speaking of Maynard what were your thoughts on the new Tool album? It's growing on me...
The World Slavery tour for Maiden was my first big Arena rock show. Twisted Sister opened was sitting 8th row centre floor and was blown away. Maiden was peaking then and it really was larger than life event.
Love Tesla one of the great forgotten bands of that time. Mechanical Resonance and Great Radio Controvery are two of the best albums from that time. So much great work on them and they never get mentioned with the big boys. Shame as they produced some stellar music. Saw Tesla open for Def Leppard (twice) and they blew Def Lep off the stage both times. Def Lep was VERY disappointing live as they just can't reproduce all their over-production live I thought. Was expecting much more.
Bought floor seats to Queens of the Stone age years ago and my only memory of that was standing by the wal and throwing up during the show. I was so sick with something I just couldn't enjoy it.
Funny you mention My Chemical Romance? I have those CD's somewhere at home forgot about them will have to check them back out... - LordHumungous
Every Tool album has aged well to my ears. Same with the APC stuff. This one is no different. They are both among my favourite bands.
I've never really stopped listening to Tesla. Very underrated.
Saw Queens when they hit Vic a few years ago. Great show but was a little disappointed Lanegan wasn't there for some reason. Love his voice with that music. Got a couple of Kyuss albums on heavy vinyl, And the Circus Leaves Town and Sky Valley. Probably the best way to listen to them.
My 11 year old daughter got me back into MCR. She started listening to them out of the blue and listens to them daily. So I decided to throw it on the Drum playlist. It's fun to play along with and some well written stuff. I think I'll track down Revenge and The Black Parade on Vinyl at some point soon.
I envy the fact you got to see Maiden and Tesla...but Def Leppard not so much.

Saw the Screaming Trees at the Commodore, he had a hissy fit with one of the band members and didn't finish the shortened set. Between him, Ryan Adams and Anton Newcombe from the Brian Jonestown Massacre, I 've seen some really talented, temperamental douche bags perform.

It has been a ton of work, our property slopes quite a bit so we have been carving and making level areas. Then we haul blast rock up by wheelbarrow to reinforce the new level area. We started seedlings indoors over a month ago and everything but the Habanero Peppers are sprouting. Going to wait another week or two before planting them outside. - Makita

We have the most boring society, we’re more worried about hurting someone’s feelings than doing what is best/right sometimes...I said sometimes. It’s so vanilla we’re fast becoming a Scandinavian country equivalent.
My buddy took an engineering PM job in Norway, he was there about two weeks when they were having an important meeting and one of the ladies got up to leave so he asked her where she’s going and she said she had a yoga class downstairs LOL. He told her to sit down until the meeting was over so she went to HR and complained and he got in trouble.
He’s like, how the (frank) do they get anything done around here, people work about 20 hours a week and go to yoga classes while they’re working, they even have sleep rooms so you can rest if you’re tired - LeftCoaster
Yeah - Harper was a great guy, said to "buy buy buy" in the middle of the last recession Wish he was still in power - would be great for the country. A few of us would get really stinking rich... too bad....

So, leagues are going to run at some point.
I imagine the NFL season will start right around where it normally does. They might drive ticket prices up, hand out masks, apply social distancing measures, limit fans but they're going to have games. I wouldn't be surprised if they tested on site.
I'm curious about the international plan. I would imagine it gets scrapped or maybe keep one in Canada/Mexico if the other countries allow them.
As for the NHL, I still like my earlier idea of reducing next season's schedule and awarding a Cup this season. They don't have to re-start the season until September if needed although unlikely, they could start the other one in January. The poopty ice effect of late season hockey should be mostly offset by reduced crowds.

The NFL is the biggest league and least dependent on gate revenue – they basically pay operating costs from TV deals and whatnot alone. They can run games without fans and be perfectly fine.
The biggest problem I see for any league is what do you do if a player or multiple players on the same team test positive?

Does anyone know how early you can detect it? Like, if a dude stops at 7-11 for a slurpee on his way to the arena and touched the virus on the debit terminal, and then the straw and his mouth, would a nasal swab catch an hour later?
Does it need to incubate in the body for a certain period before it infects you? Is it transmittable right away, or does it take a few days.
Personally, I don’t think they can start until test kits and PPE are available in such quantities that medical professionals have no supply issues at all.

The question really is what is the acceptable amount of deaths?

Ya, I'm very curious about that too. How long before you're able to infect someone, and how long before the test picks it up you have it. So much to learn...
It would be like that, except if teachers were paid millions of dollars instead of being grossly underpaid. It would be ridiculous to ask teachers because of how they are compensated. It is not ridiculous to ask people who are already grossly over compensated imo. - neem55
Good teachers are very under paid
Bad teachers are grossly over paid and worth zero.
Figure out how to get rid of the bad ones and the good ones can have raises. The union is crushimg the good teachers financially
