It's easy to discount not scoring an EV goal in his 20 in his first 20 games in the NHL playing with new linemates, but after the 20 game stretch he scored at a 20g pace. I would take 20 EV goals and 5-10 PP goals.

This adds to the reasoning of not drafting everyone from the CHL/USHL Drafting Europeans allows you/them more time to develop before having to commit to them.

One thing also to point out Jack and Sam were can't miss kid centers drafted #2 overall. Sam was even the first forward taken in his draft while Olofsson was a 7th round pick in the draft and a LW. Sam is no longer a center but a RW. Olofsson is still a LW. I think it is amazing how Olofsson gets crapped on, what more do you want from a 7th round pick who is usually in Europe, the ECHL, or selling cars now.

There's no saying he would be have been if we drafted him.
It's like saying we traded away a Conn Smythe winner.
We didn't. We traded a guy that whined his way off two teams.
I like Draisaitl and O'Reilly is still one of my favorites, but because a guy plays great in one place doesn't mean he'll do it in another place.
