How about Fat Tuesday during a pandemic? - Wetbandit1
Yes, but only if the team has been mainlining clorox and sitting in the suntan booth 12 hours a day |

Guys who were drafted as a C to convert to RW because we have no good RW but also if he can't convert back to C and drive his own line, trade him for a 2C
- BeadyEyedDouche
Like I said earlier, if a punter can learn to kick field goals then a RW should be able to learn to play C pretty easily. |

really?
the generational players were eichel and mcdavid, and this talk was well before the 2014 draft
show me 1 site that had the word generational player in a scouting report on ekblad, reinhart, leon or bennett
just one
if you don't find it, LET IT F@CKING GO
I honestly thought you were better then that - navinrjohnson
Why does discussing sam reinhart get you this upset?
Tanking is when a team is not trying to make the playoffs so that they can have a higher probability of getting good draft picks.
That's what happened the year before McDavid
The leon year

One thing you'll see from both the old threads posted tonight, Murray had announced before we even drafted that no matter who we took he was not going to play in the NHL that year and we were taking for McEichel. If those threads are correct, Boss is flat wrong. - Der Kaiser
Tanking is when a team is not trying to make the playoffs so that they can have a higher probability of getting good draft picks.
I googled " tanking in sports"
They were not trying to win the sam year.
Maybe you have a different definition? |

There's no saying he would be have been if we drafted him.
It's like saying we traded away a Conn Smythe winner.
We didn't. We traded a guy that whined his way off two teams.
I like Draisaitl and O'Reilly is still one of my favorites, but because a guy plays great in one place doesn't mean he'll do it in another place. - adambuffalo
Draisatil is an elite hockey player, he could have been drafted by anyone and had success.

The Packers are dumb A Rod Is good for 5 more years and you pull this now - gerbe75pts
There is absolutely no issue in GB. It's just another case of these writers not having anything to write about. Favre was the same age as Rodgers is now when he was drafted.
Clickbait media is all these guys do nowadays.
It is known throughout the entire football community that Love needs couple years to develop. Rodgers learned behind Favre for what? 2-3 years?
It's completely a non-story that these hacks bringing up. |

Your opinion. Reinhart could have been elite if drafted to a different team as well. |

I’m not sure it’s as easy as that.
Reinhart’s issue is that he doesn’t really have elite talent.
Draisatil always did |

Here's your post.
I'm with the "who" Sam is as a player. Tanking for him doesnt help. Slow, bad hands and streaky. Part of a lot of losing.
The quotes make clear that they didn't tank "for Sam," they tanked for two years.
And Boss, you gotta face it, despite the "slow, bad hands and streaky" label you have been trying to hang on him for the last two years, he still produces (with ROR as well as with Jack - so don't go there). |

who is crapping on him?
I had him in our top 6 for this past season since he came over from europe
maybe you need to read what is posted daily instead of just chiming in every few days with 3 hours of bashing reinhart
it's a free pointer, make what you want of it
you were a decent poster years ago, now half the board wishes there was an ignore button by your userame - navinrjohnson
I state something and then the 2nd golden boy gets everyone set off, I can't help that what I post peaks the interest of the masses. Interesting people just have that ability to, ya know, to have a room presence. I state the reasons for losing and I can't help you disagree. I was right about Reinhart before the Sabres picked him, I was the first one to say I wasn't happy with Skinner's game and sh*t hit the fan but guess what? I was right again. He had a cruddy season to follow. I call it like I see 'em |

If they have the playoffs, they should televise them like they do some MAC football games when there are few fans in the stands, lower the cameras and try not to show the empty stands too much. - GilPerreault11
With no fans, would the speed of the game be better?
I ask with the thought they could keep the arena much colder and therefore have a higher quality of ice for the players. |

I have no idea but they are going to have to think about the production of the games to keep the fans eyes away from the empty arena. They might want to mic some players, the benches too to draw the TV fans' attention and interest there as well. We'll see what they do. |

The team needs just more good forwards
I’d rather see Reinhart stay, get a stop gap 2C like Henrique and play him with Skinner and Reinhart
Cozens is going to be very good. And I’d rather have him here + more good forwards - sbroads24
How much would Henrique cost in a trade?
I know he has a modified no trade but he is from Ontario.
I like the idea of someone such as Toffoli or Craig Smith as a UFA RW to play with Eichel, pending how much each would cost. |

If he was North American maybe the Sabres would have looked closer at him but Germany bias may have played a role. Germany isn't a world-beater. I read they didn't want to draft a Euro at all anyway. |

Leon came over the year prior, he had two seasons in the WHL under his belt (with the second being his draft year)
It’s not like they were drafting him straight out of the DEL like Tim Stutzle will be this year. |

It's not great but they clearly need the help, and it would help insulate Cozens.
I can get behind the following:
Olofsson - Eichel - Craig Smith
Skinner - Henrique - Reinhart
Kahun - Brassard - Johansson/Cozens
Maroon - Larsson - Okposso |

You would also have to consider more games being played on the same ice each day, so it may offset the benefits of having no fans. |

After we took lion ball eater, I think the brass were afraid of going outside NA to pick Someone. Latvia and Germany... not big hockey countries
Also, given our track record with German players, Hecht being the best one or maybe ewe Krupp, Easy pass. Plus GMTM probably watched
Reinhardt play on JR and fell in love. When that team Canada won, and then the line of reino,Domi, and that other guy struggled early in their careers, we should of tried to get the three back together Ducair had a resurgence of late as has domi.
Also, maybe McNabb was traded for off ice stuff. Remember that meathead Kickassian? He had some substance issues and I wouldn’t be surprised if much Mcnabbwas part of it. |
