Interesting observation, but what’s the point?

Neither of them have Skinner’s talent.

- Der Kaiser

he hates Skinner and it fit his objective

even though it was a false statement

I mean all first line wingers average under 14 minutes in the playoffs

which cup did they break up Crosby and Kunitz?
- navinrjohnson

The penguins dont win back-to-back without fat phil. That's a fact. And if he wasn't so abrasive, he'd have a conn smythe in '15-'16. He was the best player in the playoffs

Where do you think he played in Washington, I would take a 3rd line of Kahun Cozens Mojo. That means you fixed your 2nd line.

Fat Phil also deserved the conn smythe for the first cup of their back to back but the Canadian media hates him and loves Crosby. Those teams are not a case study for your wingers are irrelevant theory

Sure, and the slight overpayment in assets to acquire Zucker at a $5.5M cap hit was good business too.

If we didn’t resign Jeff, Mojo could have filled the 2LW role and we could have used the $9M in cap space to upgrade other areas on the roster.

What free agents want to come to Buffalo?

Hard to say now. Probably use whatever surplus in assets they get if they move one of the RHD.

Those weren't the "in between" numbers, just the numbers after the Allstar break (when most the team stopped playing). His 10 game winless streak he was way below .900 and was around 4.00 gaa.
The .906 was better than 9 of the top 20 paid goalies last year and a better gaa than 8 of the 20. Not great numbers, but this is why I would want to make sure that he's 100% healthy. I would also keep him around the 30 game mark which he is better suited for.

As for the record over 30-50 games, the closest match i found would be Rittich: 48gp, 24-17-6, .907sv% 2.97 gaa.

- adambuffalo

That doesn’t matter at all
Idc about what other goalies are paid
I care about how Hutton produces

12-14-4 last year
.898
3.18

Idk how anyone can not want to improve on that?

I mean who was giving Skinner $11.37M per for 7 years ?

Jeff is only here cause his agent bent Botts over.

Sabres need to draft well, and make good hockey trades. Using free agency to address needs works 10% of the time to begin with.

And every GM would agree

The Penguins got similar value the Sabres did for $3.5M dollars less.

That’s the difference right there.

Zucker and Skinner are both top 6 wingers.

Well. Who do you believe would replace him? Are you gonna trade for a top-4 d-man?
- Michael Pachla

I’d certainly be open to it
Who’s in UFA & what do they cost?

What about Pilut?

Is McCabe really as bad as ppl here think?
Heard an interview where Ullmark said he was the best defenseman in our zone, & apparently Hutton said the same

Are u saying u wouldn’t trade one of our
RH defensemen for forward help?

If there’s another way, I’m all for it

Was just throwing the Montour for Duclair trade out there
If we can do better than Duclair, I’m all for it
Just thought he might be an interesting fit

Like I said numerous times, it all depends on the supposed injury he had. The stretch he was "injured" in he went 0-7-3 over 11 games in 3 months.

You may want to ignore the fact that he may have been injured, but it's wrong to just write him off if you don't know the full story.

I can't see te getting xtra assets for Montour, or even Risto. At. Least not an asset that would provide immediate help

It's much fresher than McNabb and two seconds for Deslauriers and Fasching.
