Hey, I think SD is in the hall of fame so I can't deny their talent. I just think their music is so vanilla.

But getting back to a much more important topic, how the (frank) can you like SD and not like Cream?!

Cream is a three-piece that produced huge, unforgettable, totally unique to them sound. Essentially all three musicians are considered (by most) to be at the top of their instrumental vocation. They are considered to be the first rock super group ever.

You play the drums. No other rock drummer had the impact that Ginger had. He introduced the double base drum, which is the foundation of any heavy rock or metal band since!

My heart is starting to miss a beat. Got to sit down for a minute and relax... Breath Bloated, breath...

My wife can't stand them but likes Neal Peart. She hates Geddy's voice. It puts strain on the relationship from time to time but we tolerate. Personally, I feel lucky to have seen them live. Great band.
- Load Management

lol can totally relate. GF here can't stand Geddy but when I play the lighter versions of Rush from Signals to Hold Your Fire she finds it a bit more tolerable when Geddy isn't wailing like the 70's Rush. Is what it is she'll never really get their level of talent. It really is above most other bands.

Never liked rush either.
- VANTEL

It's an acquired taste.

Most have the ability to recognize their talent regardless if they like them or not. They truly were one of a kind in the music world.

My GF doesn't care for them but loved the documentary 'Beyond the Lighted Stage' as it really went into the personal and private lives of the band. Even though you are not a fan you should check it out. Extremely well done.

They will go down in history as basically the 'Mozarts' of this generation.

I know, that’s my interpretation on Ginger’s legacy.

The reason why I asked Load if he liked Rush is that I see Cream and Rush basically the same. The comparisons run deep. I just assumed that if you liked Rush then you would like Cream, and vice versa.

Peart = Baker
Lee = Bruce
Lifeson = Clapton

Don’t ask me for the stats to back it up! Just my opinion.

Your opinion is poop, because your thinking about it from the perspective of trios. It’s all about duos, but which one of those guys is the third wheel?

From the Province this morning...:

The playoff format, meanwhile, is still up for discussion and there are more than a few under consideration. But consider the following: One league source said the favoured model has the top four teams from each division qualifying for the post-season as opposed to the top three in the division with two wild-cards from the conference.

Given the complications involved with traveling from one host centre to another, that also makes sense.

As of this writing, your Vancouver Canucks occupy the fourth spot in the Pacific, four points ahead of the Arizona Coyotes with a game in hand.

Makes it more likely the Canucks would be in.

Ya, sorry, didn't want to copy the whole thing over. That would be in addition to the neutral zone site for each conference. Play out X amount of games then the top 4 from each conference get into playoffs.

One thing that hasn't really been talked about is the bottom teams like Detroit and LA. Why the hell would those players want to come back, isolate themselves from their family and train for a few weeks, only to play 3-10 games and then go back into summer vacation?

So you’re saying Rush are the 4th liners of the Canadian Rock Industry? I like it, though I’d say they aren’t even on Gaunce’s level.

I think they either need to play out the schedule as it’s written, have a tournament to establish playoff seeding (where every team is eligible) or go straight to playoffs based on whatever formula they agree on.

Edit - if they are going to play again that is. I don’t think they should play at all, but it is what it is.

I heard on the sports radio an eight team scenario, put forth by the owners, for the playoffs with shorter series, in this scenario the Canucks wouldn’t be in. Top two from each division.
