He didn't seem too interested when he talked about Judd

Seems to be too much water under the bridge for them to find some common ground but I’m still hopeful.

I'll look for the story but clearly you are projecting your wishes. He clearly stated he was more worried about where the cap would end up and once he knew, the clubs UFA's were his priority. Even if he "is very interested in Tryamkin" he is the last of his things to do. Nice try tnough.

I am not projecting my wishes at all because if I did I would have written a lot more.

You clearly are projecting you hate for Tyramkin which everyone in here is aware of (no poll required)

I have no false fantasies about Tryamkin . He is a 6 /7 Dman and should cost no more than 1.5 and at longest a 2 year deal.

VANCOUVER – The clock may be ticking down towards free agency on April 30 for Nikita Tryamkin, but for the Vancouver Canucks the clock stopped when the National Hockey League did on March 12.

The team won’t be signing the huge and hugely enigmatic Russian until there is financial clarity about next season – and that could take months.

When the Canucks gambled on the six-foot-seven defenceman in the third round of the 2014 draft, general manager Jim Benning equated the pick as a swing for the fences. The Canucks could strike out or hit a home run. But six years later, we’re still waiting to find out if Tryamkin even likes baseball.

“We still really like him as a prospect and stuff and think he can be in our top six,” Benning told Sportsnet on Tuesday. “But until we get some conclusion on what’s going to happen this year and get more information for next year, we’re in a holding pattern to wait to see what that looks like before we start talking term and numbers with him.”

That’s just your one opinion, keeping in mind you’re just like everyone you described in that you know very little about anything NHL and you’ve never spent one day in an NHL office.

Since Diamond and Benning have had several discussions, a one-way contract for Tryamkin probably is not a deal-killer for the Canucks. But with the team facing a potentially severe salary cap crunch next season, the contract situation for veteran shutdown defenceman Chris Tanev and several other Canucks are a higher priority. For now, Tryamkin has to wait. He seems to be a Plan B.

Big question. If you could pay to dump LE(unless he retires or a buyout comes) and then trade Boeser+ for Marner. Would you do?

Well I listened to the actual interview. It is on TSN podcast if you want to hear the actual comments and not someone translation.

He did say they are in a holding pattern waiting for actual cap numbers .

He did say they are very interested in him and listed his qualities. They did not say they are waiting to sign all their other free agents first.

They did say they are waiting for cap numbers to sign all their free agents,

Again if you are interested the actual interview is on TSN

Anyone who thinks Tryamkin is plan A is an idiot .

Again go listen to the actual inteview. Benning had a little giddy up in his voice when he was talking Tryamkin. Unlike when he talked about Judd Bracket whom he couldn't sweep under the carpet any quicker.

Didn’t he play his first year with Horvat and score 29? Although 1/3 of those were probably on the PP.

Edit: just looked it up....10 on the PP his first year.

- LeftCoaster

That’s 3 (soon to be 4) years ago. Fact is Boeser’s on-ice production drops mightily when playing with horvat. It’s essentially a black hole for him.

That’s why since his rookie season you just not see the pairing very often. Even Green can recognize that.

Same as you fat boy just another voice in the crowd.

The funny thing is these polls come from self appointed voices to represent the opinion of the Canucks Fans.

The LarchCast is 7 or 8 East Indian fans who in the last summer have been very vocal on Twitter and now do a podcast that has a pretty good following. They are very nice guys but have the same hockey IQ as a lot of the posters in here. I meant that as a positive. I do think some in here know a fair amount.

Canucks Way is a joke . Three basement dwelling nerds who are great at graphic but know nothing.

TSN is the negative voice of the people who if didn't give the Yang to the Ying would be unemployed. Can you imagine how many people would listen if they got on the radio every day and said everything if fantastic with the Canucks? I literally seen people change opinions within weeks of losing the Canucks broadcasting rights.

Again I don't need anyone to tell me my opinion maybe some of you do .

I won't listen to any Benning interview as he sounds like a teenage girl with a head injury. I do just fine reading his interviews, he sounds slightly more intelligent that way.

I definitely want to see a full year of Toffoli Petey and Miller. I think the rest of the roster falls into place after that. I don't want to break them up because I really liked what I saw those 10 games.

They have 3 players taking up just shy of 33m in cap space. They spent to the cap this year and have bonus's coming off next years cap. The cap is likely staying the same and they are going to be hurting a bit. Boeser keeps them competitive while gaining cap space. Marner would be the obvious choice to shed salary due to what he makes, and the possible return he could get. Nylander would be the second option.

One guy on Twitter that is making a name for himself is Canuck Clay Imoo.

He is one of the nicest guys you will ever hear from. Super good father and husband. Works at the church as an assistant. Avid bowler . Canucks number one fan.

He writes some of the Canucks songs along with anthem singer Marie Hui and Arielle Tuliao

I can not say enough good things about this man and his family.

Even if Canucks lose 8-1 he comes on and does his Vlog and has his Canucks Haiku's . He even gets fans to list three Haiku's after the ass kicking.

His knowledge of the game IMO is that of a super fan . In other words sometimes he has blinders on.

He has been on SN and TSN a few times and has many guests like JPat , I think Botch and others . I believe JPat once said see nice guys don't always finish last.

Yesterday on his Vlog he had James Duthie as a guest. That is a pretty serious guest to convince to come on and do a podcast.

I don't listen to his podcast or any ones but I am glad to see him doing well . His Tweets are entertaining.

The Leafs actually spent 95 mil this year on a 81.5 mil cap .
