That's awesome. Maintaining social distancing while getting your fix of socializing is so key for people's mental health. - Codes1087
We meet on the sidewalk in the late morning-early afternoon usually. Everyone maintains their distance for the most part. The other day we let my 5 year old daughter hug the 82 year old lady across the street. |

Is this an acceptable news source? - golfingsince
Truthfully that’s awesome for NB, people took things seriously and it’s seemingly paid off |

Like I've said before, demographics certainly help.
However, everyone for the most part locked themselves down aside from essential needs for a month within a few days for the first reported case. It sure helps contain things when everyone can abide by guidelines for a short period. |

Not a huge fan tbh. I've been having local gins and tonics every night for the last month or two. It's a nice change to have beer though |

We got lucky, first reported case March 11th or something similar. Shut down the province by the 15th, school was out on the 13th. Again, small population. |

Try it with a slice of fresh cucumber, poke it with a straw or fork a couple of times. |

Do you have a beard? Mine’s getting long and I won’t let my wife trim it, need a Vic barber - LeftCoaster
I just shaved in some lamb chops and handlebars. My wife is horrified. |

I believe there’s only been 121 cases on Vancouver Island in total so I think we’ve done well also. |

I just hope that we dont rush to reopen businesses at the first sign of successfully flattening the curve. Social distancing is not a cure, just a way to put some pressure off our healthcare system. Until herd immunity or a vaccine is here, we are definitely still in the thick of this virus. I'm happy to hear that people are getting their fix or socialization whiling adhering to the social distancing recommendations. |

I'm not a medical expert, but I will listen to our provincial one and possibly push the boundaries.
Just saying, we have our borders shut except for a few small entry point along the supply chain.
If cases pop up I'll be right back to where I was barring any new information on how widespread the disease is. However, I'm rather confidant that with social distancing guidelines, PPE masks now readily available at work etc. we aren't going to rush right back into it until possibly the fall unless we start re-opening borders. |
