They are my favorite band

Saw them open for Van Hagar in Van back in the day. My buddies were more interested in strippers at No5 Orange than the opening act so I only caught a few songs, but loved it. I think Jar of Flies is my favorite album. So good!

Don't remember who, but someone on here was defending sending 16 tonnes of PPE to China. Leaving Canada high and dry. It becomes a worse affront to Canadians when you become aware that the Canadian govt knew China was buying up the worldwide supply of PPE.

Now they, China, are literally sending sub standard garbage in a lot of cases, back to countries trying to get PPE. Not only that but charging huge markups. Not sure why anyone would want to defend China or our govt sending them anything, all the while leaving ourselves exposed at home, like the Canadian government did.

"senior Canadian bureaucrats in January were alerted that China was hoarding PPE. But instead of responding to the threat, Canada’s government shipped 16 tonnes of PPE to China"

I think you draw the wrong conclusions. One, BC does not have a “police enforced self containment” policy but has been very successful in containing the spread and limiting fatalities. The major problem with a Europe, as I see it, it that they waited too long to take appropriate measures, and their health care systems were severely under prepared for volume of patients they received. The point of “flattening the curve” isn’t to eliminate the possibility of anyone getting sick, it’s to slow it enough that everyone doesn’t get sick together.

The other thing I would say is that some of the things the author suggest simply aren’t true. Sweden for instance has not performed “no action”. That statement is disingenuous.

Thanks for your thoughtful and reasoned response. I appreciate that we're trying to limit the flow of sick to the hospitals. My main point is that by making people aware and asking them to self regulate, instead of fining people, ticketing, or restricting them from public parks and spaces, that the same goals could have been accomplished.

See, that’s the point. That’s exactly what is happening here, at least on the Island anyway. But try and ask an American politely to not do anything. “No ducking way, it is my constitutional right to do whatever the duck I want”

Good morning fellas...beautiful fresh morning out there with last night’s rain. Just took the dog out for a walk, contemplating what brand of truck to buy next over some great coffee.

Friday night I went fishing a bit and put my truck up for sale, to gauge interest, three emails before 9pm! Well be (frank)ed if the first guy who came by at 9am yesterday morning took it for a little test drive and handed me a $1000 deposit and said I’ll take it.

WTF....I thought we were in a recession?

that’s what I was thinking, although, the guy gave me 20K for a fourteen year old truck. The 5.9 litre Cummins Turbo Diesel.

Another RAM or a Tundra that I’ll pimpout.

We have a 2013 2601WA Striper, fully loaded it’s around 8000 lbs. After driving a diesel for the past fourteen years with a solid front axle I’m inclined to buy something more comfortable to drive, independent front suspension.

It all started when I took my diesel in to get the front u-joints replaced and saw the smokin deals on trucks right now. That’s why I went fishing to see if I could get 20K for my truck, it only had 140,000 kms on it.
