Going with ASL & his 24 league after contraction...
Create a Euro division starting with 8 teams. London, Stockholm, Helsinki, Moscow, Berlin, Prague, Slovakia & Bern.
Later on expand to Paris, Copenhagen, Ukraine & pick one.
Initially they are a stand alone division that will play for their own 2nd tier cup. Down the line the cup winner meets the Stanley cup champs along with the cup losers in an international challenge Cup.
AHL, CHL, BCJHL (and all the other tier 2 junior leagues) won’t be able to afford to operate. CFL, MLS, Canadian Tour (golf), Tennis. Sponsor $ won’t be enough for many of these organizations to survive. - 1970vintage
Yeah put all these so called athletes back to work on infrastructure.
I really feel like one buyout is necessary. Give each team one free buyout, and it will allow for better hockey and more profit next season. - Retinalz
No buy outs. Teams need to find other ways to address their f*ck ups.
No it’s just the biggest can o worms ever lol - Nighthawk
I think all sports leagues are (frank)ed for a decade and if there's another pandemic in a few years sports, concerts, any large gatherings will be done permanently.

I know you’re hurting for revenue, so here’s what we’re going to do. We’ll allow you to spend multiple millions on guys who won’t play for you so that you can spend those millions on another player.
Here’s what they should do:
Allow any team that is so stinking rich to buy out as many players on their roster as they like (compliance - no cap ramifications) BUT, they have to pay an equal amount into an NHL kitty that gets distributed as profit sharing to markets that need help (who aren’t buying players out)

My take is nations have to be better at being transparent asap on viruses.
There will be a lesson learned & many changes to come regarding hygiene & the movement of ppl. Personal freedoms at the cost of safety & the evolution of how we as ppl worldwide set down measures to restrict pandemics. Proactive should be 100% globally.

It really doesn't matter . TO played with a budget 9 mil over the cap this year. The accountants will find ways.
Even if there is no compliance buyout Canucks still have one regular buyout . Ferland will be on LTIR .
Trust me all teams will find ways. Like I said it is going to be a fun off season with lots of screaming
I follow Patch Adams on Twitter . The dude is really a strange guy but man he has good advice.
He is a Flake for sure but fun to follow
He said once about the movie it wasn't his girlfriend that got murdered by the patient it was a male that worked at the house. Hollywood jazzed up the story for effect. He is still waiting for Hollywood to pay him
