I've always been more of a lone wolf on here even though you can find people who's opinions may be agreeable with mine. That would seem strange to your little group think mind I'm sure.

I know you’re hurting for revenue, so here’s what we’re going to do. We’ll allow you to spend multiple millions on guys who won’t play for you so that you can spend those millions on another player.
Here’s what they should do:
Allow any team that is so stinking rich to buy out as many players on their roster as they like (compliance - no cap ramifications) BUT, they have to pay an equal amount into an NHL kitty that gets distributed as profit sharing to markets that need help (who aren’t buying players out) - 1970vintage
Or give each team two, but all the money gets pooled and payed based off of richer paying more than poorer.

Personally I don't care about compliance buyouts but if you really want to improve the product when you need it most , is it in the best interest to have players like Eriksson Lucic Bakes eating up your cap?
Brian Burke thinks there will be a salary roll back and no charity buy outs. - boonerbuck
I think that's the only way they can do it, the agreement is based on sharing revenue and if revenue falls so will salaries. The expansion draft will probably be put on hold, I can't see someone paying to get in to a league if it's value is cut in half.

That might be excellent news for Eriksson . He is guaranteed his signing bonus which means he would be playing the 2020 season for 500k and the following year for 1.5 mil.
