The GM should have his own list if that’s the case. They work for him & he decides the direction the team is going. I’m sure he takes their advice but in the end it’s his team & responsibility well beyond singular drafts. If he defers to them it’s by choice. Utica runs under his guidance & he puts the ppl in place to run the show as he wants to see it run. They are his support group developing prospects after drafts come & go. The amateur scouts are out of the picture looking to the next draft. The debating is not a democracy just a think tank of opinions that get finalized in the form of a list. That’s my take but I’m not saying that’s all there is to it.

You don’t get it. The GM makes a list, based on the suggestions of the scouts, and healthy debate prior to the draft. The article that Carol referenced suggested that after the list was made, the one that Bracket had in front of him, Benning had a new list.
