I think I've posted it before, but have you seen the Darth Jar Jar theory? Basically, Jar Jar was the sith lord over Palpatine. Some compelling evidence, with his 'drunken warrior' style fighting, crazy athletic abilities, and CGI things (mouthing words spoken by someone else, appearing to jump across the screen when being shot at, etc.) that were put in on purpose. I think TPM isn't as BAD as people think it is (that said, it's not GOOD either) but I think if you remove Jar Jar as a character, the midiclorians and the whole Anakin as Jesus storyline... you know what, you're right, it's a POS. - DariusKnight

If it was true, and had they gone through with it, it would have made the other two prequels/sequels SOOO much better. Like, the (frank) was with Dooku? Imagine a bumbling idiot revealed sith lord Darth Jar Jar versus Yoda fight.

Disney didn't like any of the EU's established canon (whether the books/comics/graphic novels/games/RPGs/etc) and decided to make the EU an AU but due to fan backlash, stole the best parts of the EU (like Thrawn) and shoehorned it into their version of SW which is hot garbage.
