Should be interesting time between when Hockey comes back (July?) and the start of the '20-'21 season (Nov/Dec?)
Man, that is a boat load of time off for the teams that don't qualify...March -> Nov, about 8 months.
Should be ample time for Mitts, Tage, even guys like Rhino to improve their skating, or for those and more like Cozens, etc to build strength and have superb conditioning.
Should be no excuses for not seeing significant progress. - IonSabres
One of the 90+% irrelevant posts. The post that stated that message boards are irrelevant has some relevance. Time management, prioritization for those who are unable to grasp the concepts. Those and other concepts make a difference in reality.
I knew it was going to rattle a few regulars on here, Kaiser, being one not just because I irrelevantly spanked his fan lover Sammy but the irrelevant issue had to be said by a wise poster to the ones who strive to be. That is all for now from your wise poster.
Yeah Casey should have real abs by then - gerbe75pts
Gerbe - you asked
Hes like a Jason pominville but for some reason boss doesn't like him 🦄

Pommer scored a super clutch all time Sabres goal. Hopefully sam gets that opportunity.
Pommer coached his sons hockey team the first time around and played in the parent/ child game. Genuine good guy. Maybe that doesn't mean anything to some people, but I think its important. Especially being a parent.
Pommer- worked his way up thru Rochester after being waived. Overachiever.
Sam- Dad was an nhl player. Brother was an nhl player. Drafted 2nd overall. Not his fault
There style of play is somewhat similar. Both soft, but both show up and dress every game. An underrated quality in both guys. Sam definitely should bring this to the contract table.
Oh yeah - pommer was captain. Sam alternate to the alternate captain #leadership
Sam could improve and may not have peaked. He could still score more than pommer and also become captain.
the only constant was a skunk playing RW with him - navinrjohnson
That's irrelevant, this is a fun fact.
Olofsson plays on Jack's wing and plays pointwise at or better than a 2nd overall fellow winger, The ROOT, in his rookie season and that is the significant difference. He also could see the ice and pass the puck which is different than Skinner ever does or did who stole 10 million bucks this year from TP, and the Sabres. Fun facts.

Get yourself some fresh pineapple, a few nice peaches, and a little brown sugar.
Core out the pineapple and halve the peaches. Sprinkle a little of that brown sugar onto them while they're still good and juicy, and then spread them on that new grill you got, very very hot. You'll know when they're ready.
That's simple, good food on a nice warm night.
Have a little vanilla ice cream around if you care for that kinda thing.
Olloffson played most of the year with jack. Aside from the injury.
Man, sam really made jack look good. Good point - Boss34
I would say he helped, they have good chemistry together. And I have been hard on Rhino. But unless he is involved in a package that helps this team more and you can get him for around 7 mill I would resign him. He's a good hockey player, and we need as many as we can get.
- played on good teams
- signs autographs
- super cute
Checkmate, sammers - jcragcrumple
Name a 30 goal season Samster, Sammy Baby, has had? Pominville, I will not discredit that name with a cutsey, has had 3 and if we are going to rise Skinner up to greatness he is bordering on it, no? He is somethin', he should take your breaths away. That is all from the wise man.

Got my phone from Spectrum today. Pretty seamless transition.

Sam is good, if he can be used to acquire a great player I do it. If not, I’m perfectly happy with him being a long term Sabre as long as his contract demands aren’t out of whack.
However, once Jacks production fell off at the end of the year, Sam was nowhere to be found so you can’t ignore that either.
Jack did benefit from Sam though just like any elite player would benefit from playing with a playmaker with talent.

I'm confused , the 181st overall pick outplayed the 2nd overall pick?

I don't really care about the Reinhart pissing match. Keep him, trade him, pay him, slap his peepee. It's all the same to me. I just like busting Boss's chops

I agree 36,
I just want the Sabres to pay and judge players accordingly. Playing guys with a top 3 nhl player, on a contract year makes zero sense.
