Soderberg did play on the wing on occasions, but still played center around 50% of the time. When on the wing his most common linemates were Schmaltz and Keller, so he was able to keep up with the kids. If he would be available for 2 years $5m I would say it would be better than giving up assets for Henrique. Being 35 at the start of the season and a likely flat cap I don't see him getting a big raise. He could take a discount though and go to a contender like back to the Avs or Bruins.

You are not giving up Casey for him, you are not getting Manson for Risto. Sorry but Manson is better and on a cheaper contract. If you can do the trade without adding 1 of Mitts or Pekar, I am all for it. But I think we overvalue are players. I would much rather go after Strome, but this deal makes us better right know.
