Good news fellow humanoids. I have contacted the hockey gods on Venus, and they have agreed to manipulate the lottery balls in our favor. Not #1 overall, that would be too obvious. Byfield will be a Sabre with the #2 pick. I'm also putting out psychic vibes to the beings that instruct New Jersey's front office. They inhabit the inner rings of Uranus. If we push hard enough with our positive mental brainwaves, the Devils will give us the #17 pick for Risto. Not too shabby. |

What's the difference if there is or isn't a 24 team tournament or if the Sabres get in or not. We had another poopty year, but just like the rest of you if they do get in I will be watching even if they didn't deserve it. |

It doesn't, and for those who are offended. My apologies.

Offended? No, you couldn't hope to have any chance at offending me. "John Jack" is just as nonsensical as the neverending female dogging you do about Sam, but praise Wilson like Allah for getting all his, considerably less than Sam by almost a factor of 2, points in exactly the same fashion AND being a liability because he could snap and try and kill someone with a headshot. |

He wasn't same thing when he refused to draft Patrick Mahomes - gerbe75pts
Not the same, Mahomes had a late first, early second round grade. And his NFL comparison was Jay Cutler.
BOTTOM LINE: Mahomes is a big, confident quarterback who brings a variety of physical tools to the party, but he's developed some bad habits and doesn't have a very repeatable process as a passer. Mahomes' ability to improvise and extend plays can lead to big plays for his offense, but he will have to prove he can operate with better anticipation and be willing to take what the defense gives him in order to win from the pocket. Mahomes will be a work in progress, but he's a high ceiling, low floor prospect. - http://www.nfl.com/draft/...atrick-mahomes?id=2558125
That's hilarious to look back on, but he was far from a lead-pipe lock.
All you had to do was watch the UB Ohio State game, second game of the year his senior year. Mack was an absolute monster. 9 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a pick 6. |

Mahomes was a big boom bust prospect. He was no sure thing. Easy to look back at who makes it and judge. For every Mahomes there is a EJ Manuel too - Fattony1187
EJ Manuel was not a projected 1st round pick, Mahomes was. |

Yes a mid to late first, it was a good trade at the time for the Bill's. Taylor had just come of a decent year. |

They made that trade bc they were going “all in” on the following year’s QB class
Has nothing to do with Tyrod,
except that they knew he wasn’t a franchise QB
They just liked the following year’s QB class better than they liked drafting Mahommes |

Whaley was garbage but he had nothing to do with the Mahomes draft. He was fired the day after the draft - do you think he was making decisions for the Bills? McDermott made the picks and couldn’t put in the necessary work to draft a qb that year. |

Yes and Taylor had just come of a decent year and at that time there wasn't a QB worth taking at 10. Everyone knew what they were doing, doesn't change the fact about Taylor and not thinking a QB was worth taking there. If they thought differently they would have pulled the trigger that year. |

Right
So it had nothing to do with Tyrod having a good year or not the season before |

Isn’t the rumor that there’s only one spot being up for lottery and a team can only move up 3 spots? So we draft either 4th, 7th or 8th.

Taylor gave them that opportunity, but I get what your saying, all I am saying is they thought it wasn't a must. And the fact McDermott only had about 2 months to get ready. |

Not really. A lot of people had him in the 2nd/3rd round.
It was kinda shocking he went 10, and before Watson |
