Wouldn't that be something! It would never happen with those #'s though. I do like both players.

I think owners offering up contracts north of 7 mil this year are nuts. I can see Hall and Petro as the only 2 at 7 mil or more

Next wave is at 5 mil Marky Toffoli Hoffman Krug

Then 4 mil Barrie Tanev

If it is played without fans at the arenas every team is starting about 40 mil down in revenue.

If I wasn’t living in Canada I’d sooner live in Europe than the US. More diversity, access to so many places in close proximity and the historical poop, amaze balls. But I get why family and comfort would be high on some peoples list. I’ve been all over the US and while I like most of the places I’ve visited, the only places I could see myself living are Hawaii or Southern California.

I’d love to live in southern Spain, it’s so beautiful, golf courses EVERYWHERE, the only problem is, it’s full of English twats.

We didn’t go further south than Madrid, but really loved the rural communities we stayed in. Central Italy and France also. I wouldn’t live in Paris or Madrid, but nice to be able to fly EasyJet for under $100 to those places for a weekend if you needed the big city. I guess you could do the same in the US, live in small town USA and get on Southwestern or whatever to visit San Fran on occasion, but I like the castles and thousand year old structures in Europe better.

They had to do that because Marlsey was still going to play. If they sign him again you know it will be the Spezza special.

Why are they so opposed to universal health care? They just don’t like to be “told” I think.

They truly worship free-market economy at all levels of life. They see it as the centre of their version of democracy. It’s bred into each and every one of them. IMO, it’s really weird.

An interesting point made by Sat Shah. Canucks may want to hang onto this years first round pick just in case there is no Jr hockey next year.

That is a complete crock of bullsh*t. Don't tell me that I don't have working class family members struggling in the States. Maybe you should shut your MAGA mouth and just move there for good. You can throw beer cans at the Mexican's cleaning your pool.

awesome. I bet each and every one of us can picture this scenario vividly in our minds.

Nothing says “real America” than a heavily secured, private golf course community of white wealth.

I think you’re being disingenuous, if you truly hated it down there you’d be back in Canada, but you’re still there.
- LeftCoaster

Not at all. Like I mentioned, I live in New York City, and it's a comparative bubble living there. It's a massive cosmopolitan city which is very left leaning. NYC and America as a whole are quite different. I wouldn't live anywhere in America other than NYC.

And I never said I hated it, though at times I do. I just don't think it's the best or greatest country.

I live in New York because I moved down here to do my MFA six years ago, and now I'm doing the struggling artist thing because New York is one of the best places to be to do that. It's not easy, but Canada's art and culture scene is pretty terrible (Montreal notwithstanding).

However, for the past couple years I've seriously questioned me being in America, and my next stop is Berlin, not Canada. Ich liebe Deutschland

Also, I said working class not middle class. There hasn't been a middle class for over 20 years.

But no one listens to you. Only joking.

I have seen about the rest of this season and playoffs cancelled but don't remember anyone saying next year be cancelled

I think this pandemic is going to make these next drafts even more of a crapshoot – which for a team with a real good scouting GM should be a silver lining

Without gate revenue the CHL would fold.

The possibilities and repercussions are endless. I think there will be major cutbacks but I am not sure about folding . I think the NHL will have to support them and also broadcasting the games will help. I would watch the WHL .

So I was in IGA today with all the one way lanes, I go down an aisle and this lady say's

"didn't you see the arrows?"

I said, heck I didn't even see the Indians!
