Praying we don’t see anything significant on the island. Our numbers are really low from what I understand. - LeftCoaster
Probably all the Lysol you guys have been knocking back. |

As long as we don’t let any of those mainlanders on the Island we’ll be ok. - 1970vintage
15 new cases today, 20+ the day before. Lifting of restrictions for may long weekend is beyond stupid imo. We are still struggling in procurement of ppe, despite what trudeau is telling people. It's so stupid |

I saved $500 by going with private insurance on my new Tundra, ICBC is such a rip-off. |

The only way to achieve herd immunity is if people get infected and recover. |

Herd immunity isnt one of the health authorities main objectives at this point. Social distancing is only being implemented to take stress off our healthcare system, and they still expect a huge portion of our population to contract covid19 in the next 2 years. Our objective should be to social distance, live by a new set or "normal" standards, and remain diligent with our current restrictions and social distancing until we have a vaccine. Our healthcare system is still being stressed with the number of cases we currently have... |

I don’t see the easing of restrictions going well, but I’m hoping for the best. |

The issue is, no matter when they ease restrictions, we will have a massive hit of new cases. My arguement is, I am first hand still having major issues sourcing PPE, and my end users in respiratory and Biomedical engineering are telling me first hand how stretched thin they are as far as workload and supplies go, so why lift or ease restrictions now. We should get the new cases down as much as possible for X amount of consecutive days before we even think about easing restrictions. Just my opinion though |

Gotta trust the medical expert community I guess. |

There hasn't been enough tragedy to detour people. Not sure of the exact numbers but you are not going to discourage a province to shut down when 85 seniors and 5 young people die in two months.
People will say screw this and go back to work and play.
People just will accept the numbers until 1 in 3 people are infected and thousands are dying. Then they will take it serious. |

I will not be partaking despite what the experts are saying to be honest. I'll be social distancing, wearing a mask, sanitizing, and lysol wiping everything pretty much until my family and I are given vaccines. |

I don’t think you’ll ever see that, my uneducated opinion, we Canadians are just too damn nice and willing to follow rules.
We need more uneducated knuckleheads with guns in this country |

I don’t think you’ll see a proper vaccine for years. I’ve got a hair appointment with the barber on Tuesday, I wonder how that’s gonna go? |

I plan on doing this for as long as it takes. I've been told in town halls that summer 2021 would be a reach as far as getting a vaccine. 2 years is 100% more likely.
And I bought shears, clippers + guards, combs and everything I need for the wife to do mine. Werent there like 1400 hairdressers and barbers in BC that signed a petition to remain closed? |
