I'm just wondering if there is a reason or what it is. I'm not trying to be rude. Between your typing issues and jhawk59's as well, it makes it very difficult to read and follow the conversation.

I edit and fix mine usually right away. I am needing to be more careful to touch review and not submit from my cell phone. I refuse to take my tablet with me. Most of the entries are composed when on a break or on public transportation and I rush through it - the auto correct is my big pain. The tablet or Mac at home is easier to type on. So that is on me to present better.

Yeah, I will apologize for mime, as they are two finger and ADD -like with me not typing the entire thought. as quick as it is present. (The ADD IU was adminsinster as the virus was coming came back with the results I am not ADD, despite the continued thoughts on my immediate family that the test results were incorrect.)

Jim, Jhawk59 I cannot complete speak for but I believe he is working directly off a tiny phone screen and buttons and his eyes don't catch the errors, but his "loose" is a habitual mistake that I believe is an ingrained one not an error, like the inner city Chicago polish mistake of lend and borrow that everyone I was around made enough times to convince me it was correct to say "Borrow me your fountain pen."

Or say TRUE street for Through street...as in gets you from Ashland to Western Ave. without an linear interruption.

I do try to make sense...so speed reading my long winded posts are probably the best way to deal, because I am not saying much that is profound or elsewhere. Sorry.

I was at the game where Phil Russell one punch KO’d Marc Tardif. Russell had hockey talent, he didn’t need to fight much.

He was already a drunk, so I think that help encourage the lack of restraint.

I'm a long time Hawks fan and a pretty-long time hockey blog poster, since (I think) 2009, when I discovered that such things as hockey blogs existed and the internet can be fun. My bona fides for being a fanatical Hawks fan are well laid.

That said, out of all the things Covid has affected in my/our lives, maybe the one thing that surprises me the most is that I don't miss hockey nearly as much as I thought I would. For reference, I miss hockey during every off season more than I do right now during the Covid lockdown. I don't know why, and I'm kind of surprised.

What's happening: Wisconsin is in their phase of re-opening and tons of people will flock to their casinos and bars. No way is enforcement of social distancing going to occur.

Could use Ogi flowchart now if it was handy

Some people going to Wisc bars and casinos have the Corona virus or are carriers. They will pass it on;.people who went to Wisconsin for frolicking good times actually will next become suck and die. The Corona numbers will spike after.their careless behavior resulted in more heartache

The impact upon society.will be felt in the sporting world, when mayor's and governor's proclaim there may be no attendance - sparce, anyway.

A few months later each of the major sports will have suffered perhaps a significant economic blow. The fans stayed home. How minor league teams get by......I don't know how they can..

There is going to be great pressure when the mass of people rise up. I took an European Economic History collegiate course and learned changes occur within society when the mass of people rise up. The mighty powerful influential wealthy do not hold all the chips when our way of life is greatly altered.

Kenny Rogers had a song "The Gambler" (circa 1980's) in which he croaked or seemed to suggest he would, if he didn't play his cards right.

"You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to walk away; And know when to run

You never count your money when you're sitting at the table
There will be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done"

Well Trump has not handled the game of Life well, not since the onset of Coronavirus. Neither he or Biden give me much hope. But we will get through this with a lot of pain. The sportsworld will be forever changed. Exactly how is an ominous, arduous task I will not tackle right now.

But without fans shelling out dollars to attend games, it is like a vampire sucking blood out of a victim. Never be the same again. An innoculation you pray. Fine. Until the next Corona comes around. And people cannot stand to be bound up. Stir crazy people.

Hopefully better leaders in our government can steer the American Ship through treacherous times. We might find most of us paying more to watch televised games where mostly empty stadiums contain a much different paid group of athletes to rumble.. They may not be wearing facemasks.

In reality though we all should wear facemasks as we attempt to protect ourselves, our identity and our way of life changes. Which includes the way sports is played and viewed.

If this is how Vegas plans to segregate gamblers from each other at the slots, table games, etc can you imagine the amount of square yards of plexiglass that will be required in all those huge casinos?

A don't pay them no mind . Hey Wiz do you think Egor Sokolov could be a nice late pick . Big kid with a nose for the net ,maybe a late bloomer
Just checked out tankathon ,and they just up dated their prospect ranking today not much change .They do now have the HAWKS taking Askarov at 9 and at tenth .
Before when I tried the simulator where ever the HAWKS ended up they never chose Askarov . I still do not want the draft before the end of the so called season ,but I am looking forward to seeing our pick . After the HAWKS win the summer school cup that is

No, it is a warranted criticism here IF you are here to put value on my words...my wife is constantly saying "Did you reread this?" and the answer is NO...I keep going, never quit sorta resolve with my thoughts and mind, and spell check adds to the confusion along with omitted words, incorrect letters in words that morph them.
But thanks for being my teammate out here, and yo answer you, and social interact without hurting your feelings (as I wipe tears from my eyes):
Did you read this of the site?
https://www.draftsite.com...layer/igor-sokolov/28680/

The real reason he wasn't draft in the past is his feet. There is no doubting what his standing in front of the goalie provides.
And can he move quickly enough (he is not Dach-like...) to play all the other facets because areas are now important and being in your area, so can he get there. Can he get faster. Sure, maybe.

OK on to Tankathon, MY NHL Draft.com, or anybody's draft list including mine on DraftSite.com:
I am gonna say that right now those lists are far from correct in their t"top ten" in order or included players.
There are diverse opinions on the top end of the class and I am betting that there are three players nit include din the top ten who easily are ranked higher than any and ALL lists we can see out there. The TEAMS have spend more $ and invested much time to research all parts of these kid's and their "canvass" up until the abrupt halt of junior play.

I think
a) there is as much a possibility of Askarov going before the Blackhawks select as there is that he lingers on past them.
b) Defenseman are always going to be hit or miss in terms of their value in the order, so year by year you see that one time a kid defendesman taken at say #4 slot will be called a "steal" while in a another class a kid defendesman taken at say #4 is later called a reach, and "they should have taken this forward, blah blah..."
therefore EXPECT at least another defender to be on top ten teams target list.
c) Expect centre who will play centre to be considered very valuable and highly selected, and except centre who look like they can swing to wing without much adjustment to also be given a value mark for that attribute.

So that said, the names that are being projected are gonna be off who gets picked, kinda like the. NFL Draft goes in much different direction than all these NFL media experts predict, and THEY feel invested in the NFL team needs, much more than the hockey guessers who have to guess at which kid, when MOST kids are years away, not as plug and play as the NFL.

Ending this I just want to say it is so different what each draft prognosticator sees when he watches....
You start to wonder are they just relying on each other?
Connor Zary, for an example. Sure the engine behind his Kamloops team's play, top WHL draft eligible scorer, etc. BUT BUT BUT
I just read he that Ryan Kennedy the Hockey News Draft pundit says, "Zary is one off the fastest players in true WHL." and then
Corey Pronman says "His skating could use an extra step or two, but I think, given his skill and two-way play, he will find a way to become a good pro without blazing speed."

My point without even saying what I think (as you can go read my opinion on Draftsite.com) is all the thoughts and especially Central Scouting only gives the hockey fan a shopping list, and the teams may use different ingredients to make their stew that the ones we are blitzed with.

oh and as far as that simulator on Tanathon, I think it locks THEIR list so you never see much jump in where THEIR "crowned" slotting ONLY go up one slot to two, no more. So you are locked into THEIR list, their opinion, and they see looked on the Blackhawks taking the Russian goalie...theiropinion.

I am feeling the same and equally surprised. I don't have your bonafides, but once I became a Hawks fan, my interest and attention to all things Hawks and, to a lesser degree, hockey often boarded on obsessive. I'll still read everything the beats put out and watch the players' videos, etc., but it's with a level detachment I didn't have before now. I don't want the 2020 season to come back, because I'm more worried about the health of everyone involved than I am interested in watching games.

Guess it's perspective on what really matters to me...maybe I'd feel differently if I felt like the Hawks had a chance at the Cup should playoffs commence, but I'd like to believe I wouldn't.

and since we all have nothing to do (a different opinion than my wife's who just told me the amount oof time I have been on buzz) can you all help me send the NHL and the Blackhawks our preferred NHL Blackhawk mask would be one with the shoulder/arm "tomahawk and C" instead of the Indianhead or the words?

I want tou to look at MY mask and if you are not sure, you ask me (because talking while out doesn't make you more susceptible as long as you are singing loading Chelsea dagger as that would open you body to a larger chance of catching this thing...). and

I dunno how you are gonna take me with an American native on my face, I don't want you confused or think I am being disrespectful.

Maybe if the Blackhawks were in the thick of the race and you thought they could win a 4th Cup since 2010 that would alter things.

Since I have access and have to watch junior footage to evaluate for my mock and profiles, so I have had hockey each day.

Maybe it is more insignificant in terms of the enormity of our reality, the future and you are focusing away from your pleasures as a hockey boy.

I miss it. But i have a constructive way to feed it. I play ea nhl20 on xbox, not the same, but for me fills the void. Especially on rainy days and we've been getting a few of those lately

It looks like the NHL may be pointing to the exact plan I posted on page three here...

Intersting that an article I read today said the league governors or players dont have any say in setting the dates each year for the NHL Entry Draft, that if Uncle Gary wants it soon it can be if he wishes...

I just dont want a win or two by the "playoff" Blackhawks to alter their slotting...

Little Sunday afternoon conversation topic:

Assuming the playoff format returns with 24 teams, does anyone think the team can make some noise in the playoffs? What's realistically the best you can see this team performing?

I think playoff exposure (of any kind) to the likes of Dach, DeBrincat, Strome, Boqvist, Beaudin, Carlsson, Nylander, and perhaps even Mitchell would be fantastic, even in an odd year like this one. Let them get a taste of competitive, high-stakes hockey.
