Are you referring to the 04-05 cancelled season? No cup was awarded that season. The 05-06 season was played in full, started on time and finished on time. Different situations right?

Canes knew that they couldn't solve Roloson so they had Ladd take him out in game 1 of 2006. Canes knew Roloson was super hot and they would not have won if he played in goal for the full series. Is what it is.

I don't really get the idea that it would be a tainted cup, especially if they expand the field.

If anything, I'd argue that this might be one of the harder cups to win. Most teams will be mostly injury free and rested.

It's summer in Canada FFS and we've all been spending most of our time at home for the past 2+ months already.

I might barely watch at all between work, outdoor house work, my family. Sorry kids, we're going to stay inside all summer so dad can watch hockey?

We get about 5 months of solid weather here, i'm not going to spend it glued to a television.

I'm probably in the minority but I wish they played less games every year, and not a condensed schedule type of thing. That way every game would be more meaningful and the players would have more energy adding up to better hockey IMO.

Definitely, I want a better product, I don't watch to fall a sleep, the product is so watered down because of greed, it's like coke dealers cutting the product for the 5th time.
