Lawsuits for what?
It's a declared pandemic with both the Feds and States declaring states of emergency. And not only that, the Federal Gov't issued guidelines for reopening and not one state to my knowledge has met the criteria. - Michael Pachla
That's not going to deter people from filing them, unless this virus has some sort of unknown biological property that alters the human brain to a state unlike any other in human history. |

No one is forcing anyone back to work. You want to hide down your basement then do it. If you want to come back to work don’t expect to get rich by suing your employer and getting rich off it if you get sick. It is the right move to pass this. - Alex the Great
Like I said, why is the GOP trying to add that clause to the bill?
Maybe you can stay on point for once. |

Nonsense followed snark.
Nice work, but an epic fail none the less. |

My problem with the methodology is that using games played as a metric for evaluating top-10 pick success isn't really useful. This article uses a benchmark of 100 games played, but almost every top-10 pick will get 100 games just based on the fact that they were picked in the top-10. - jcragcrumple
Solid effort. Maybe tomorrow.

Voice of reason.
Land of the free, allow people to make decisions for their interest, as long as it doesn't create obvious issues for others. People can use common sense and apply the general recommendations we have learned for public safety. Those at higher risk need to be vigilant to protect themselves.
I will say however, the NYC area is rather unique given the crowded environment and reliance on public transportation, therefore it should be treated uniquely as well. At least, they shouldn't require the most at risk to be for ed to live with known IC-19 infected ... what a friggin gaff that was. Talk about major F-up. |

If Eklund's post is true, the Sabres are in this sham of a Stanley Cup tournament? |

I’m not happy. I stopped relying on someone else to make decisions for me a long damn time ago. I side with peter, not Paul and I’m not ashamed to say it. |

Agreed.
Should have moved the bar to ~275 games minimum...to reflect 3 complete seasons plus a partial initial year of games.
The better metric would have been a breakdown of say top 3/1st pairing, middle 6/2nd pairing and bottom 6/3rd pairing.
That would have been a pain to track, but would have added much more value.
Anyway, Sabres get a player 90% sure to play at least 100 games

I can tell you're not happy. In fact there are many here that aren't happy. Speaking for myself, I feeling pretty damn good. |

Is their points percentage better than Montreal's? I think that would be the only way, because I hear they're going to take top 12 in conference. Rangers would come into the Atlantic, leaving Sabres out. I've heard several scenarios, so who knows what they actually will decide to do. |

Yeah, putting the top-6 teams in each division will screw the Rags, big time.
Hope it happens, though, so Jack and co. can say they made it to the "playoffs". |

What id like to do is take the 6th, 7th and 8th overall picks from say 2007-2017 (too soon for the '18+ to really know) and then do the breakdown you proposed to give an average value of a 7th overall pick where the sabres will probably pick. With the understanding that this year is closer to '03 than '14 or whatever people consider shallow
Could be a good blog idea |

Can’t, never happened near me. Do you know how statistically insignificant that is. Police go on over 100 million calls a year and people like you drone on the 4-5 calls a year that are bad. - Fattony1187
This.
The U.S. is exceptional at keeping records and statistics, yet no one can be bothered to look at them, nor can they be bothered to look into an incident themselves. A minority citizen was shot or pulled over? Oh, must be those racist cops hunting innocent people again. |

EKLUND says top 6 in each division. This would jive with what Greg Wyshinski was suggesting several weeks ago.
Rangers out. Sabres in. |

If the league does that they will also have to bounce the Ducks out of the Pacific and move Chicago into that pod.
Can't leave Anaheim in and kick Buffalo out.

To say I would be shocked is a stretch, afterall it is the NHL.
I would also think they would closely follow existing method for qualification, but go with expanded number of wild card teams to get to 24 teams total.
Also, they have to be fair by using points percentage given the reality of uneven number of games played among clubs.
So, keep top 3 teams from each Division, then 6 wildcards from each conference for 12 per conference; using points percentage versus raw point totals.
Makes more sense to me, probably why they won't. |

Yes, that will also happen if they go that route. |
