I have a lot of good Ling lakes not far from my cabin in the south Cariboo. Horse Lake, Bridge Lake, Deka Lake and a little known one off of Hwy 24 called Birch Lake that according to a friend who dives lakes, has Jurassic Lings.

I'm Ocean and Basin fishing mostly. Coho are my fish of choice. Fall my preferred season because I like shoreline fishing. Ocean run Cutty are also a bonus during that time of year, very tasty. I hit a couple of lakes and streams in the summer here but I seldom eat freshwater, my wife does though.

There’s a reason why halibut is always served with some kind of salsa, or concasse or spice rub or caper blah blah blah.

Don’t get me wrong, pan seared (on one side only to get a crust), with spring pea risotto is one of my signature dishes.

Coho is the best tasting salmon without a doubt. Also the funnest for fishing.... I'm a Steelheader by heart though.
