If they had played 50% of the season, okay fine, put 24 teams in. But they played 90% of the season. We know who does and doesn't belong in the playoffs. There should only be 4 teams in each conference playing for wild card spots.

If they are so desperate to play more games, they should take the rest of the players and just play a makeshift "world championship" type game using the same format they used for the World Cup. Helps get them international viewers.

18-35 year olds (the vast majority are), elite level athletes are not in the high risk category. If they all test negative and all move to hub cities, there is zero risk for the players and staff. A quarantine is still a quarantine if it's 1,000 people or 5 people. The UFC already pulled it off.
