Plexiglass between stalls, water bottles marked and apart, players wearing face masks/eyewear, no hitting or physical contact. None of this is going to be done so they must just come to terms with it if that's what they want to do. - Codes1087
Again I don't want to seem like I am taking sides , I am just voicing my opinion.
I do find it strange that CDC come out and say it is unlikely to catch the virus off a surface at the same time they open restaurants and public shopping.
Can you imagine saying yes restaurants are now open but don't touch your fork or don't sit on that seat?
Again just my opinion but I think the government has looked at the numbers and said we can't shut down because 5000 old people died.
I think wave 2 will tell a better story seeing people wont be as cautious . |

Thanks Carol, that’s an interesting point you raise about the money. It has me wondering how the players from the 24 teams feel about players from the 7 teams not contributing to the fulfillment of contracts (like TV) but reaping the benefits. Unless everyone is going to play to conclude the season and then playoffs...
Chopsey, I have no idea what that is and I’m afraid to ask google in case I start seeing a bunch of weird sex toys in ads on web pages. |

Davies is turning me into a fan. It seems like there is less diving and faking injuries in the two Bayern games.
I like the crowd less stadium. TV is the way of the future - VANTEL

I don’t understand why the NHL and NHLPA are pushing this agenda but if they’re gonna do it, I hope the “play-in” round and the first round are five game series. For a league that’s predominantly gate driven, in terms of financial wealth, how are zero fans going to increase or stabilize revenue? Must have something to do with TV contracts. - Pacificgem
I think it is all about trying to insure next season sees full TV revenues by honoring existing contracts. |

You thinking a bunch of fat Lefty blobs barely able to skate. - Makita
I know how much you love social media, but there was a funny response to a Patrik Laine tweet about his skating being rusty when he gets back. “So, same as always” the guy chirped |

Sure.
So swab everyone once to start.
Then do cheap/quick check ups as the games go on.

In Ontario almost 25% of the cases are in the age group of 20-39. |

Is that deaths or contacted the disease?
Looked it up 22 Deaths to people under 50 in Ontario. Most of the 1400 deaths there are seniors. |

Contacted the disease. The death total wasn't there. Young people die from it, too.
I guess we should go full "Logan"s Run" and kill everyone over 30. |

I agree. I am just saying when you have 22 people under the age of 50 die from it , then good luck trying to get them to listen.
Even ages 50-70 there was 146 deaths. People wont be scared with those numbers.
I think those numbers are so low because of our fabulous health care.

I bet if things didn't shut down the death toll in all age groups would be much higher and even more so among younger people as they tend to go out and socialise more. |

Yup.
And I have been working through this whole lockdown.
I trust in the medical system and government (at least here in NZ).
If they say it's safe to get back to work then i'm good with that.
I'd assume the same holds true in Canada.
But then i'm not a conspiracy theorist who throws aspersions around.

Canada has not said it's safe for hockey to return. I too, trust the scientists & doctors and laugh at the low IQ of conspiracy theorists.
You came across as rather cavalier and I found that ironic considering your profession. |

Davies is a legit beast great for Canada. Just love the kid & great for him.
Onto hockey...
1st off hockey in 100F+ is stupid. Vegas might be normally a great place for this but not in the dead of summer.
Gaudette is a keeper with his work ethic & drive & a true leader for all to follow. Driven players such as him pave the way. |

Wave 2 will come and put us right back at square 1. Unfortunate, but it will happen. The NHL reopening, in my opinion, is a horrible decision, but if the NHLPA agrees with it, then it is what it is |

We kind of had a mini experiment over the last two weeks.
Over the last two days in Ontario they have had a spike in covid cases, roughly 850 in two days. That goes against the trend of cases decreasing before that.
Medical leaders say it’s because of Mothers Day gatherings and the result after incubation.
It’s all very interesting. |

Kind of makes sense though. More social gatherings and less social distancing equates to more new cases. Despite what adrian dix and bonnie say, I wont be changing what I'm doing until I'm injected with the vaccine. |
