I don't think anyone can argue that he's better than a bottom 3rd of the league GM.

-He hasn't rid the sabres of bad contracts other than through attrition

-Spent assets on unnecessary and mediocre players

- Can't get out of the basement in 3 years - including this year with an MVP performance from Eichel and a calder-finalist performance from Olofsson

- Cap overage as a cap guru

To this point in his career - and thanks to his unbelievable luck and cheap ownership - he has a chance to stop sucking incredible amounts of ass.

I hope he's up to it
