Trade him now while he has some kind of value, and still has 2 years left on his deal.

On Point, he is making $6.75M now through the 21-22 season.

After that, he is getting a BIG pay day.

Is it worth it to give up at least the 3 year ELC of the played being drafted this year for Point when he will be making potentially $10M per or more after the 21-22 season?

I would verge on keeping the pick unless it was blatantly obvious that we would be coming out on the better end of the deal.

I like that you used Brayden Point as he is a perfect example, and similar to Cirelli.

It's not as easy knowing that Point or Cirelli are clearly high impact Centers already.

Confident in Darcy's drafting? Quick look at what he did with multiple 1sts: Ballard + Paille, Myers + Ennis, Grigs + Girgs, Risto + Zadorov. Those last 3 drafts are a big part of where we are today.
