And how much is on the D vs how much is on the lack of forward support in the Dzone?
Ullmark's .915 wasn't incredible, but it was compared to Hutton's .898 and Johansson's .894.
If Ullmark didn't have to play at a 76 game pace for two months maybe he doesn't get hurt and doesn't have a few of those bad games in that stretch.

Maybe part of the reason for the opposing goaltenders listed above having a higher to much higher save percentage is not only that they're better goaltenders, but more of the Sabres shots were low percentage chances of going in, so despite outshooting them overall during that 5 game stretch, they had more low quality shots than high danger chances?

You are probably correct. Those goalies are probably not better than Hutton and Johansson.

I think the d corps is as good as the fancy stats say. The problem is outside of Eichel and a select few others, the forward group, especially the middle 6, is utter garbage. That puts way too much strain on a defense corps.

We were good defensively because we defended as a 5 man unit.

That’s a testament to Kreuger’s system 5v5. Ralph needs to figure out the special teams though or put assistants in place that can because our PK torched us last year.
