As much as I dislike JB. I’m with Broads on this one.

I want JB gone but the Pegulas are running this show and it stinks and I don’t want them hiring another GM.

JB has made some awful awful trades. He’s the polAr opposite of Tim Murray.

Doesn’t get enough for his guys and won’t pony up big bucks for the assets he needs.

- ImThatGuy

To the polar opposite point, I will always remind people that he spent an entire draft's worth of picks between Feb '19 and Feb '20. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 2 5ths plus Guhle.

He's everything bad with Tim Murray without getting good players

There are more parallels than people want to see. But godspeed to him when he gets back to work in November

rumoured lottery break down for those interested.

- Michael Ghofrani

How can they include the playoff round losers when the lotto is gonna be before the playoffs?

That would probably be the dumbest thing the NHL has ever done

pretty sure half the fans on this site could do a better job if money was no issue, then those 2 have done since they bought the team

We're staring down the barrel of a 9 month offseason thanks to 3 years of ineptitude.

A lottery consisting of the bottom 7 teams no longer playing will be held. If the top 3 picks are all consisted of teams from the bottom 7, it's done.

Positions 8-15 will be assigned a letter...A,B,C etc...if any of the first 3 slots goes to one of the "lettered" teams, a second lottery for teams 8-15 will be held to determine which gets them.

Dumb af.

They've both failed at timing, missed on key first round picks, and turned extra 1st/2nds into very little. Together, they bought high, sold low, and drafted poorly. Bad Recipe.

We don’t know about his drafts yet.

Bryson, UPL, Davidsson, Pekar, all look like NHL’ers. Samuelsson will probably make it too.

If Cozens works out that’s not bad at all.

Lots of if’s but it’s still really early

Oh I am mad, he didn't do enough, but I also put that on players that didn't show up and goaltending that disappeared for a month and half.

If Tage takes the 9 months off seriously and comes into next season at 235 I still think he is at worst a 3rd line winger with top 6 upside.

Books far from written on these, of course.

Lemieux, Cornell, Karabacek, Guhle, Asplund, Davidsson, Samuelsson, Luukkonen, Johnson. Basically hoping UPL and Johnson can salvage a very underwhelming group. When you factor in the returns on the picks we dealt away, it just adds to the feeling.

Nylander, Mitts, and Cozens outside of the top 2 overall picks...that's just devastating, not really a reflection on Cozens.

At worst?
Good 3rd liner might be his ceiling

Right now...
he’s more likely to never score 20goals in a season, than he is to be the 25+ goal scorer a lot of ppl were thinking he’d be when we traded for him

What makes you so optimistic??

when a team sucks for 13 f@cking years

at some point some of the names thrown out over the 13 f@cking years may be in decline

this team is a f@cking joke, year after f@cking year and it starts with the owners

I thought he was finding himself in the AHL before the injury.

He has the raw tools and I think most of his problem was getting knocked off pucks too easily. With the added size he’ll be able to attack the danger areas with more efficiency.

Not many players that height with slick hands and a howitzer of a shot (as long as he starts hitting the net with it)

If he doesn’t work out, most of the fan base has given up on him already.

Even if he gives us production at a low salary this organization is starved for value contracts.

If Tage takes the 9 months off and uses them differently than
the entirety of his career, thus entirely changing everything about his personality that he’s shown to date, I still think he is at best a 3rd line winger with absolutely no top 6 upside.

Trading for either of them would’ve been terrible
Brutal Cap hits to production ratio

Saying the fans on here could do a better job is nothing more than another gross exaggeration
