How about leaving the fantasy hockey trophy behind before you leave?

Firing GMTM has to be the biggest blunder in Sabres history. Team would be on bye waiting to see who they’d be playing in the Conference Quarters if he wasn’t poop canned. Rawest Deal of the Millennium.

I would have rather won with a complete season.

Wonder if the Stanley cup champs will feel the same way?

Already looking forward to defending the crown next year

Generic crap. He doesn't know where they're picking, which means they don't know the value of the pick. It would be blatently ignorant to say "we will definitely trade it" or "definitely use it".

He wouldn't be doing his job if he wasn't assessing the value of every single asset he owns.

If we trade out of this draft we're sunk. Great draft, especially in the top10, where we are picking. We're cap strapped. If he does that, I hope he has a fall out shelter to jump in.

Is there any middle ground where there are good cops and bad cops?

I mean yesterday a police officer in Tonawanda was shot multiple times. Sounds like the guy was a genuine hero (he's been a big part of many high profile cases). He was investigating a murder and the shooter came back to try and kill him. 5 shots fired, hit 3 times and 2 stopped by the vest.

What the other officer did was murder as far as I'm concerned. But we're not helping ourselves by lumping all cops in together and saying they're "dirty". Most aren't and that's just a fact.

- RhinoFan

No they're all bad and every single one should get launched into the sun, or sent to California, whichever is worse.

That's not really what he said. Or rather, he said it differently. He's not trading the pick.

He was asked if he would move the pick for a 2C and he basically said "I don't even know where we're picking." More or less, he didn't say he wouldn't move the pick

I dk Taco, it's a top10 pick and we're still rebuilding here. He couldn't say, "we're not in the position to move that pick unless it's a big package" and leave it at that? Putting out as an asset on the block seems like horrible management given the state of things.

Apparently said Risto was a core player too.

If that’s the case then he better be moving Montour.

Saying he's going to certainly use the pick as one way or the other is not doing his job correctly.

Even when the Oilers were lined up for McDavid, they still needed to hear the offers being presented to them. I can guarantee they were gargantuan. Doesn't mean he needed or even wanted to accept let alone entertain the offers.

Unless the pick is top 2, you can likely make a case for listening to offers. I mean, what if Svechnikov is being offered for 2 or 3? Or someone with that skill and age? As unlikely as it is, we don't know what the offers are. At some point, the offer needs to be high enough to say, ok, we've sucked ass for 10 years, let's get an amazing, young player for a guy who may, MAY, have an overall better career, even slightly, for a guy who's ready to make this team way better right now.

He's looking to trade it for another Super Sniper Tage Thompson like prospect so we're all set. Maybe he can get Jersey on a Zoom Call and see if a 4th 1st rounder sounds like something they would be interested in for the Super Sniper's bro, Tyce. Team would be lightning with the Thompson Twins.
